I just picked up my new key pouch today! Is the stitching normal on the corners? Also inside where the zipper is stitched in isn’t completely flat. There are a few spots that stick out but the outside of the stitching is fine. Is anyone else’s like that? Or am I just being overly picky? This is the first key pouch I own. Thanks for the help!!

Just got this same item in mono - the outside stitching in the corners & entire bottom looks like your corner stitching - it looks “pulled” almost - really bad & I’m not picky. The bottom seam is really bad & the zip is not running smoothly. It was just made last month. I’m returning it. This is my first item ever I’m returning due to quality & it was also my 1st item made in the USA. Disappointed.

I finally received by DE key pouch however can someone tell me if the "Louis Vuitton Paris" that is printed in one of the checker squares on the outside canvas is on the same end of the cles as the zipper pull when it is zipped closed? I hope that makes sense, lol. The placement of those items on the key pouch pictured on the LV site are not the same as the pouch I received.

Here is a pic of mine when the zipper is closed. Did you get yours from LV? or pre-loved?IMG_9459.JPG

Well, I believe it would be authentic coming from the LV website. Maybe some others on here can chime in
Yes, it's authentic. I wasn't questioning it authenticity I was just wondering about the difference in print placement. I've since been made aware that the print can be on either end of the cles but thank you for chiming in with your picture it may help someone else who has a question or who might be looking to make a purchase.

My first thought was it was bursting at the seams too. How do you know yours was made is US? My date code starts with SD as well but the website says it’s either made in France or Spain.

So the pouches are not all from France or Spain like it says on the website?

On the inside there’s a stamp...
Louis Vuitton
Paris
Made in (France/Spain)
OR
Louis Vuitton
Paris

The stamp with No “Made in ...” line was made in US

Plus it says it on the textile card that came with it pictured below. The website DOES say made in France or Spain but obviously this is not always true.

This reply is in response to @Melfontana question to me “do you feel that many of the canvas SLG’s recently produced have that rubbery/plastic feel.”
I just compared a 2012 DE key pouch to a 2018 DE key pouch and I noticed a lot of differences. The 2012 was purchased from LV in Vegas and the 2018 was purchased from LV at Ala Moana in HI.
The differences are:
1) The 2012 canvas is much more rigid than the 2018. It isn’t as pliable as the 2018. I prefer the rigid canvas.
2) The placement of the LV Paris is on the right side on the 2012 and on the left on the 2018. This could be very confusing to someone who bought one recently and are comparing it to older pics in this thread or the LV website. The website shows a pic of the way my key pouch looks from 2012.
3) It was very difficult to take a pic of the date code on the 2012 because the canvas is more rigid. I broke a nail taking a pic of the date code (1st world problem).
4) The zipper head is plain on the 2018. The zipper head on my 2012 and my mono one from 2005 (not pictured) is the same. You can see an S. Years ago, this is something authenticators would look at to determine authenticity because the CFs could not replicate this marking.
5) The 2012 is MIF. My mono one is from 2005 and it’s MIS. The 2018 is MIUS of imported materials.
As you can see, you can have two authentic identical models from different years with very different features. Based on my comparison, the 2018 does not feel like the canvas on my 2012 or 2005. I prefer the more rigid feel of the canvas. Please let me know if I have answered your question.

Wow EmmJay you have a Great eye for detail!
Thanks so much for taking the time to reply. I didn’t know there were that many differences and I agree with you as far as the details and materials.
I too preferred the “rigid” canvas it feels smoother and I think “flatter” then my new key pouch I recently purchased in DE which is a little “puffier”.
Once again thanks for your time and detailed reply [emoji4]
