I am not afraid to carry it in a T-shirt and yoga pants!lol Imo the black epi is so versatile and it can be casual (with the strap) or formal (handheld). I also bring this bag to work when I know I’m going out for lunch and I love how understated it is for that situation . I first only had the black epi that I truly wore for all occasions (from formal dinners to my son’s soccer practice) but I ended up also wanting the DE so bad for when I am wearing all black clothes (I love black clothes) so that was my justification. Lol. Now, I use both bags just as often!

I love how you said this! That’s what I was hoping to hear because I feel like it can be dressed down crossbody. I also have a black fabric guitar strap style that might pair well with it. I also love wearing a lot of black and I never go for brown bags but the DE is just perfection. You help me so much but also enable me haha! ❤️

I have the opposite experience. I purchased my epi Alma in June 2019 then the DE in Sept 2021. The epi opening is much easier and can open wider than my DE. I dunno if there is a break-in.

I wanted a black purse with silver hardware, and stumbled upon the epi Alma. The epi Alma version was my second LV purchase almost three years ago. I used it a lot in first year. I have cleaned and conditioned the leather about 2-3 since it’s purchase. The purse looks brand new. It goes day to night so nicely.

I don’t notice a significant weight difference from canvas.

The one learning lesson I can offer is you don’t need an epi wallet. Years later, I purchased the key pouch in graphite and fits the purse much better.

Omg I love these two. How do you like owning both? I have the DE and am thinking of getting a preloved Epi noir. I want to wear them day to night but they will mostly be used in daytime.

Hi everyone , this is the black Epi Alma bb I’m eyeing. The seller disclosed that there is crinkling in the handles to be transparent but also said some might not consider that crinkling. She has worn it 5 times and had it stored for over a year. I don’t really see a flaw but I’m not as familiar with spotting defects. Any input you have would be appreciated!

She’s here and I love her! My first LV bag and awaiting my speedy b 25 hopefully tomorrow. I can’t believe how much smaller and cuter she is in person! Not small in a bad way - perfect! I can see why she isn’t redundant with the speedy which was my fear. She looks so much bigger on YouTube reviews and pics haha. Now my impulsive self wants her in black Epi too smh!

I had to check mine real quick and I guess this would be considered crinkling? I have never noticed this until now and it really doesn’t bother me tbh! That pre loved Alma looks really beautiful but I’m also not super picky.lol

You are seriously the best! Thank you for posting this pic and checking. I agree - I think this preloved Alma bb in Epi looks fantastic. It’s $1550. Which is good considering it’s now almost $2400 retail. I think the only real flaw is a tiny scuff on bottom of bag. That doesn’t bother me. I listed my Ysl bags and was hoping to sell them before buying this one but I don’t want to miss out on it. Thanks again for your quick reply!

Which is good considering it’s now almost $2400 retail. I think the only real flaw is a tiny scuff on bottom of bag. That doesn’t bother me. I totally understand! You are being smart with your money . Btw does this come with a Jacquard strap Like the one in the pic? That one retails for $2,370 but the epi with the regular strap (like the DE) retails for $1,960 just FYI! It does seem like a good price either way though based on the pictures

Ohhh no it comes with regular strap so not quite as amazing of a deal haha! Thank you once again for coming through in a clutch! Wow they charge a lot for those guitar straps. Ok well then I’m glad she dropped the price to $1490. I placed the order. Now I just have to hustle my toy Lou Lou. I really like it but it’s a tad too small for me. I may keep my medium Lou camera bag bc it’s just an awesome size and the smell and feel of the leather is delicious. Ok I guess I’m at purse peace for a while but hopefully I’ll learn more about LV and I can help out others the way you helped me
