Hello! Purchased the Alma BB in DA from Fashionphile and I noticed how the lock and keys were darker yellow than the rest of the "paler" hardware. Also, the color seems to be "fading" (not really tarnishing but fading)on the lock. For the alma bb owners, is this how your lock and keys look like? mismatch color/shade of lock? Thanks in advance, appreciate it! :)

Hi, I am thinking of purchasing the Alma bb in DE and was wondering how easy and versatile you find it styling with clothes (dressy/casual and with colours/prints etc). Does it go with most things? Thanks!

Hi everyone!

I would just like everyones opinion on this, I got my Alma sightly wet when I was caught in the rain, the bottom of the bag has now developed this weird mark (it's quite hard to see in photos) I just wondered what you guys would do? It's the matte leather, would you live with it and hope it goes, or take it to lv for a repair? I'm not sure what to do! Any advice would be appreciated :smile: xxx

I experience the opposite. I’ve owned the epi for about 3 years and the zipper is very smooth. I’ve owned the DE for about a year and the zipper is less smooth around the edge. I can open both one handed.

With the exception of LV silver hardware, I find the gold/brass locks generally, quickly discolors. I use Brasso to clean the locks. Surprisingly, the locks on my Alma DE are bright and shiny…I do keep them on the zipper pulls.

If you glide wax paper along the zipper, it’ll make the zipper smooth. I did this to a Chanel zip coin purse and it worked like a charm. No tarnishing either. Once should be enough.

Your Almas are amazing! What a beautiful family! :loveeyes::love::heart:Like the variety of materials and colors. :tup:
I also like the steel blue Alma and have been considering buying her, but haven’t pulled the trigger due to the price as well as an uncertainty whether I would need to baby her…

Thanks M :smile:. I was so torn this summer as to whether to get the Raspberry epi (was in love with it) or DE but my SA convinced me that the raspberry one was just another variation of the pink and DE is more classic. Isn’t the steel blue one gorgeous? I agree that it might need to be babied more due to the calf skin. But I hope you get it anyways so I can admire yours from afar :smile:.

I agree with the argument of your SA. The DE Alma brings more variety to your collection and it’s such a beautiful and carefree classic. Can’t wait to wear mine out during the Xmas holidays! :heart: Hope that you’re enjoying yours, my dear bag twin! :ghi5:
