Hi, the alma has never caught my eye until i saw the noir epi online with its silver hardware. I don’t have any epi nor a silver hardware in my collection. How is the wear and tear in yours? Also, would anyone know the weight difference between a canvas and epi alma bb? Apologies if these have been asked in the past. Thank you.

I wanted a black purse with silver hardware, and stumbled upon the epi Alma. The epi Alma version was my second LV purchase almost three years ago. I used it a lot in first year. I have cleaned and conditioned the leather about 2-3 since it’s purchase. The purse looks brand new. It goes day to night so nicely.
I don’t notice a significant weight difference from canvas.
The one learning lesson I can offer is you don’t need an epi wallet. Years later, I purchased the key pouch in graphite and fits the purse much better.
thank you for your feedback. all my lv pieces are in canvas mainly because they are light and very easy to maintain. knowing that there is not much difference between the epi and canvas makes me want it more. the epi seems to be more stiff than canvas though and might be more difficult to move things inside the bag which makes it more challenging to fit in stuff given the size. might be best to check it in store. both of your alma bbs are stunning!

I initially wanted the dragon fruit color but the yellow tone fits so much better with my skin tone and goes better with my wardrobe..so happy with her..

Indeed it is and it the yellow color has two tones. Also, the strap is sooo comfortable. I initially disliked the colorama bec of the strap but now I kind of regret why I did not get it sooner! lol
I’m now looking at LV site for bandouliere strap for my indigo epi.
Safe to say, I love my alma bb’s!! very functional, classy and cute little bag! The Alma bb in epi and DE canvas is just so indestructible and carefree. I brought my DE with me to overseas trips and it has been soaked in the rain with water seeping at the smooth bottom leather..but it dried out so well and now I cannot tell where the watermark was.

I have finally pulled the trigger! Got my Alma BB DE from Paris airport, so with a big discount. I was told I was lucky they just got one, as they are usually sold out. MIF of course, and almost made me late for my flight, but hey it was worth it!
