Cool! I have not yet looked for a pillow insert since I find the epi Alma pretty sturdy. I do use a bag specific pillow insert for my speedies. Please share link.

I got it from Etsy: https://www.etsy.com/listing/770199872/l-v-alma-bb-purse-pillow-bag-pillow

It might be overkill to use a pillow shaper for an epi Alma, but I'm hoping to have her for decades so I just want to give her the best care I can  When I'm not using her I also tie her handles together so that they stay up instead of laying on the sides of the bag because I read that the handles can dent the leather if they're always laying on it. If anyone has a better idea than tying them together, please share!

Just wanted to share 2 accessories I got for my Alma BB to help keep her in good condition: base protector to keep in her always, and shaper cushion for when I'm not using her.

She came with me today to take my dog for a nail trim. Fit everything I needed with plenty of spare room.

Do you also store your epi Alma with the handles up? I do. If not, depending on how you store the bag, the down handles can make "smiles" on the sides of the bag.

Edit: I just read your above post.
I don't tie the handles together. I just raise them up and this works for me.

thank you!

I don’t plan to use a shaper. I asked my CA about the same concern when I bought the bag last year, and she advised handles down. I can only see handles creating a dent if pressure is applied (cramming purses side by side)

I just got my Alma bb de delivered today. I only saw the epi noir in person so I decided I wanted to see the DE in person as well. My concern is the front and back of the bag in the middle are sort of caved in. I noticed some bags are that way when I watched YouTube videos. Any owners out there with similar issues? I tried putting in air paper but doesn't seem to make much of a difference. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. TIA

First, congrats to your new Alma!
In terms of the caving in, I think some Almas are just made that way. I think it's the lack of good workmanship. Maybe due to uneven pulling while sewing. I think one of the striking beauties of Almas is the perfectly shaped dome. I personally wouldn't keep an imperfectly shaped dome Alma. It's just my opinion though.

Thank you so much for your response. You made your case so perfectly. You are right, the beauty of the Alma is the shape. I wonder how prevalent this issue is. Trying to decide if it's worth getting another one if most are this way. It is so darn cute tho.

Hi there,
I am a little disappointed with my Alma bb.
I got it last October, so it‘s not even a year old, I wore it five times (3x to a restaurant, 2x shopping) and it never was in the rain or in humid weather.
I noticed black spots a while ago and now they have gotten worse. I tried to clean it gently with a damp cloth, then with a polishing cloth for jewelry and then with the ketchup trick (but its apparently no brass) and well ... I just hate to say that an almost brand new bag looks like that. I wouldn‘t bother if I had worn it nonstop the past months or if it was 5 years old with moderate use... :hrmm: but after 5 times in less than a year?????

I didn‘t experience that on any other of my bags (Speedy, NeoNoe, Noe etc...)

This makes the decision to sell the bag quite easy now. :frown:
