Noe owners especially those who also have or have had a Neverfull:

I have loved the Noe for a very long time and love that it’s one of the original LV shapes meant to carry champagne. I eat that stuff up! I always thought I’d prefer B.B. over the GM size because I am petite. I had on my list a B.B. in DA but I have plenty of crossbody bags plus something about the original size is appealing to me. However I recently watched some YouTube videos where the poster used their full size as a work/school bag to carry their daily essentials including a laptop and it got me thinking that I may like the GM as a daily work bag and travel tote. Do any of you use yours as a similar function and does it hold about as much as an MM Neverfull? I really actually NEED a new bag for work so I feel like this might be a smarter buy for me because I’ve honestly never been that crazy about Neverfull. I plan to purchase a Keepall B 45 as my travel personal item when I need more room.

Also I am heavily debating whether I want to go the vintage route (I think it would be pretty cool to get one made the year I was born, 1988) or if I should buy it new. I love the patina but I want it to be even with with minimal water spots on the bottom and as clean an interior as I can find.

Any advice/thoughts/ideas/suggestions are hugely appreciated!

I have all 3. DE neverfull GM and mono mm and the epi noe noir GM (posted a pic above). The Noe is essentially a pit and with mine being black, a black pit lol! I love my noe but sometimes I get tired of the constant digging around in it I have to do to find anything. I tried an organizer but once you cinch the bag it gets kinda squished and your back to digging again lol! None of this has changed my love for this fantastic bag. As far as school or work? It just might make you crazy trying to find things. My DE gm neverfull is what I sometimes use for travel with or without an organizer inside. Things are pretty easy to find inside without even looking so it's a good deal. Just throw everything in and go. The GM noe is a great bag that holds a ton but it's completely different from a neverfull mm/gm as far as function. I'm not saying you can't make the noe work for what you need but know its a whole lotta digging and uncinching. My noe is made in my birth month, not the year and is 23 yrs old now. She is indestructible.

Thanks for replying!

This is good food for thought. I probably wouldn't use an organizer for the Noe as I'd want it to kind of be more slouchy than retain so much of its structure most of the time. My current work bag is pretty much a pit as well, but I try to put things in it in such a way that makes it easier to find stuff. I really don't need THAT large of a bag for work, it's just habit at this point. And you know how it goes with big bags...you just keep putting more stuff inside until they're full!

I wouldn't mind at some point finding a pre-loved GM Neverfull, I like the old style lining and I do actually like big tote bags.

A question to all you lucky noe owners please......
This is my favourite bag by far. I just love the way it looks but I am struggling with the idea of the practicality of the drawstring. Do you just leave it semi open so you can access the bag or do you keep drawing open and closed? Is this awkward?

I tied a knot to cinch open and close, most of the time I left it half open, sometimes if I leaning forward to grab my kids and stuff, my phone tend to slide out from my bag few times. So I have to use organizer in my petit Noe.

Was just reading through the thread from sept 2006 when the mono petite used to be $700 vs $1290 today. Considering an S&P spdr etf (spy) was $133.50 on 10/1/06 that means you could have bought about 5 shares instead of a petite mono noe. If you sold those same 5 shares on 9/1/18 for $289.84, you would have about $1,450, which is the cost of a petite Noe + tax today in Ny and you would not have had over a decade to enjoy such a beautiful bag :D. The takeaway? Continue to enjoy your Noe’s; if it adds any joy, function or ease to your life, there is no sounder investment :)

Hi all! I’m still debating between joining this club or the speedy b but leaning towards the petit noe :) seeing the vachetta straps in the clubhouse made me wonder if this is normal for a new strap? This would be my first mono bag so I’m in totally new territory with vachetta. Thank you so much in advance!

So I can't get the noe out of my head after mine mono petit was stolen last year. I'm wondering if I should get the regular noe or another petit. I have an epi petit in red that I use spring/summer. I'm trying to downsize my collection. I'm thinking if I get the Noe, I will sell my Neverfull GM since I only use it for travel and am kind of over seeing it everywhere. Do you think I'll regret selling? Anyone use their Noe for travel?

I use my Noé mainly for travel. Love it. The strap is quite comfortable and the bag holds a ton.

Is your NF in mono or de? I think the neverfull is more carefree for travel bc of the vachetta on the noe and based on your experience having the petite Noe targeted in a restaurant, maybe a more “common” bag like the nf will make it less risky while traveling?
I’m still in the return window for my petite Noe and as much as I love it and want to keep it, I’m kind of worried about being targeted bc of the monogram and the less popular design. I have been eyeing the Mansur Gavriel bucket bags as a more under the radar alternative and have my de neverfull for when I need to carry more stuff :/
