Where are you located? I has 3 to choose from when I bought mine (Toronto)
I’m in Toronto too. Just got my last Sunday in Yorkdale. Saturday is my last day to exchange. I’m debating should I keep the black caviar with brushed gold hardware, just read the other threads that the brushed gold color easy to come off. But this is the only chain color I don’t have it yet.

Thanks for your advise. I wish to find the black caviar with RHW too, seems it is more matching to boy style. But currently none in the store and don’t want to wait for the future which Chanel may has another increase soon.
They also had some black caviar with

unfortunately I don’t have any brushed gold hardware pieces, so I won’t be much help there. If you are happy with overall look/feel of the bag, then maybe you can just enjoy it? When I was choosing my boy, I was open to any hardware as long as it was caviar to my liking (not too shiny buy not too matte). Yorkdale boutique had 3 RHW and 3 BGHW old medium boys (all black caviar) so I went with the one I liked the most leather wise. since brushed gold hardware meant to look aged already, I am assuming any wear/scuffing would be less noticeable (hopefully). I have read people mentioning their experiences with RHW peeling off so one never knows. I don’t think perfect bag exists, but if you find one close to it - it’s a win in my book :)

You are so lucky to have 6 to choose from. When I went 2 weeks ago there are 2 black caviar with BGHW and other colors. I first picked the yellow sigh shiny GHW but went to exchange to black with BGHW the next day. Seems black is play safe and could hold the value. In addition, your point is very valid, in case I need to repair, do not have to worry about the seasonal color. The only downside is both the bags made in Italy and only the dark Gary / purple one is made in France but it is in calfskin, their display already have few scratches already

I must have lucked out with the stock - I went in on Monday in order to avoid heavy “traffic” come Wed (new collection - Nov 16,2020).

I chose black caviar classic quilt RHW and the one that I liked the most happened to be made in France (which was a VERY welcomed surprise)
You are lucky. I just asked my SA, they have one black caviar classic quilt RHW but she hasn’t reply me is from France or Italy yet. Should I stay with my brushed gold (as I don’t have it in my collection) or change to RHW if is made in France? Do you think my leather is too shiny?

I think the one you have is beautiful, but you obviously have to be happy with what you have.
If you are not sure, maybe it makes sense to see the one they have at the boutique to compare which one you prefer. When I purchased my jumbo CF a few years back, I ended coming into the boutique before 14 days exchange period to see what they have that day and to compare to the one I had as I wasn’t 100% sure. The funny thing is that after comparing to the stock available at the boutique, I ended up preferring the one I originally purchased (so I kept it). You never know, right?

Thank you. I know what you mean. My SA sent me the photo of black caviar with RHW and I found I still like the BGHW more. She will check any made in France for me tomorrow. Sound like the leather which made in France is not shiny as made in Italy. I can see myself will keep this one at the end. Just the 14 days policy make me have second thoughts. >.<
