Today Rhubarb & his toy lizard explained Mulberry's new look.
To their potted tree.

How trees weren't modern or cool, anymore.
Unlike chains & jangly metal things.
So, the brand had axed quiet tree logos for latest collection.
To disorient buyers with shiny, sun-spot-throwing confusion.
To cause entranced frenzy--as for budgies near mirrors.

Bear called this a fancy, expensive marketing idea.
Which he was too foolish to understand as "absolutely brilliant," according to media reports.
But wasn't bothered--because he didn't understand what "foolish" meant, either.

Jimmy the lizard covertly gnawed on a sheet metal screw.
---
Given some alone time, for later thought, tree felt a bit rejected.
And didn't handle news well @ all.

[emoji23] I do understand the feelings of the tree...

Roobarb & Custard pillowcase became an excellent play island for Rhubarb & Jimmy today.
March gets too grey & cold & cranky, without escaping to play islands occasionally. :D

Mulb and Panda Ted had been playing nicely together but felt the need to experiment for their new image to go with his new bags.

Panda Ted explained he wasn't too keen on chains and things, but Mulb threw himself into the task ahead.

Panda still wasn't sure his new outfit was 'him' but Mulb liked it lots.

[emoji23][emoji23][emoji23] I nearly fell from my chair laughing. So funny, Panda!

Panda bear looks really surprised and helpless on the second pic. [emoji1]

Now THIS is how to wear leather & chains with style!
Wonderful, so glad you posted. :D

I notice these 2 play nicely together.
No dragging by the tail. No gluing plastic bulls to foreheads.
How quiet your good household must be.

Have your bears phone my bear.
Teach him the softer way. ;)

Today, Rhubarb decided to become a panda.
Because he thought they were so cool.
And had lovely black & white fur.

After wrapping himself in my office paper,
Bear held out a black permanent marker.
"Panda me, please," he asked.

Jimmy the lizard, trying to avoid Rhubarb's excellent idea,
Hid behind an orange.
Not with complete success.

The pic with Jimmy looks like a painting from a surrealist! [emoji4]
