Rhubarb was very excited to meet Blaze, the adorable keyboard dragon!!!
But felt a little jealous, about lacking such mad technological skills.
He decided to learn more about pressing interesting black buttons.
To improve himself.
Unfortunately, Jimmy the lizard convinced Rhubarb to use telephone buttons.
Because these had fun white numbers. And sounded, "Beep!" each time pushed.
Lessons of the day---
Yugoslavian man said cheerful, "Hello."
But woman in Shanghai seemed angry & very sleepy.
Therefore, not all buttons do helpful things, all the time.

Today, Rhubarb explained to Jimmy about Valentines' Day.
"Chocolate is for bears.
Only for bears.
None for lizards.
That's a law. Sorry."
But Jimmy stopped listening quickly.
His plastic jaws had clamped around some pretty red ribbon.
And nothing else mattered.
Love can be like that, sometimes.

Rhubarb heard me talking to a friend in Spain today.
And decided to become famous matador, El Cordobés.

Because real bulls were dangerous & difficult to find inside kitchen cabinets,
bear began training with small plastic toy.
Which he glued to Jimmy the lizard's forehead.
Then instructed, "Charge @ me, but nicely."
After 45 minutes of yelling, "Toro!" & flailing his red scarf, Rhubarb took a break.
To consider where he might find some gold braid to decorate his shoulders.
And an proper bullfighter's hat.
However, Jimmy kept stabbing into bear's leg with tiny plastic bull horns.
Until the glue finally cracked apart.

For the marzipan gift--rather than a bullfighter's hat & gold braid.
Even the tiny plastic bull enjoyed sharing over tea.
And no one was gored angrily in the throat.
Which makes social gatherings much more pleasant & cuddly.
