Good luck!! I was thinking about this yesterday and would love if there was something kind of like those command strips that you use for posters and under the command hooks that go on walls, and then when you're done you just pull the strip and it leaves no mark on the wall. It would be great if there was something like that for the feet that you attach to the bag and then can remove without damage. That would be too easy I guess! haha I'm looking forward to seeing the end result! Maybe test it on a belt or some other kind of leather to get an idea of what the process is and what it will look like... jmho!I picked up two kinds of feet, brass button ones and a more angular one which I prefer at Joanne Fabrics for $1.99 for a package of 4. There is a video link on the package. I also found a woman on Pinterest who makes her own bags and uses these in the construction stage which is of course a lot easier. She has a step by step process which I can try and post if you want it. Hubby is very handy and a perfectionist so I was hoping he would install the feet but he's now afraid to ruin the bag. Ugh! I may just have my mom do it as she is a crafter. I need feet on my vermillion Borough as I see what others are doing. I may also take it to my shoemaker and see if he's up for the challenge. You would have to cut holes through the leather on the bottom of the bag and there are fastener type of clips that you would slide up through the leather and lining. then you slide a washer over the prongs on the inside of the bag and bend back the prongs. You could always glue a round piece of felt on the inside of the bag if the feel bothered you or to keep it in place. He is afraid to cut through the leather so it looks like a Mom and I project. I need feet!
