Hi! I can share my two cents.debating between the camel and the pink color ways for this coat. i know the camel is classic, but the pink looks like it could also pass as a neutral but a bit more unique. does anyone have thoughts? i’m so torn.

thank you so much for your input!! so well thought out and persuasive. i was actually also considering the white, but im terrified to have a white coat and keep it clean. do you own any white coats? but all in all, i think camel is the way to go. i was worried camel was too safe/boring!Hi! I can share my two cents.
For me, hands down, of the two choices, I would get the camel. Why?
First, my thoughts on pale pink to put things in perspective...
I love pale pinks, but what I do not like are dirty pinks with a tint of brown/orange. Dirty pinks look old and "dirty" to me and do not pop. I know pale pink is a neutral, but I like for neutrals to pop neutral (e.g. ivory is a neutral, yet it pops).
I like pale pinks with a drop of white to make it bright and light.
I have a lot of pale pink cashmere, and the pale pinks I love wearing have a drop of white/ivory to make it look like an icy pale pink. It's so beautiful. However, I have a pale pink sweater that is almost the same shade as the dusty pink coat above, and I rarely wear it. Why? The dusty pink color is in no-man's land. It is not a true neutral that pops like ivory or camel, nor is it a true beautiful icy pale pink that glows. It's "dirty and dusty" to me, like a pale brownish pink. To me, it would be like wearing the color "sand", another neither here nor there beige/gray neutral. Some people like these dirty muted colors, but I am not one of them. You'll have to decide what you prefer.
That said...
On to your coat... The pink coat in the photo looks like a dirty pink to me, or the industry words would be "dusty pink" or "salmon."
I see drops of brown/orange in that pink coat which is what I personally do not like. It could be the photo too.
Camel is a classic. Max Mara's camel has that deep richness that you can't beat. Max Mara's camel has a drop of yellow to give it that rich golden camel hue, so lovely. I actually just wore my camel Manuela the other day, and a person commented on how she liked the coat, even though it's just a classic camel coat. That put an ear to ear smile on my face as I used to never wear camel thinking it was boring. Not anymore! Camel is not boring; camel is quiet luxury, especially Max Mara's camel shade.![]()
Another idea...
Since you are not afraid of pale colors and want something different, I would choose the white.
A white winter coat is the bomb! It's a neutral that pops, especially for winter. If you want to be different and yet still keep it neutral, white is the color. I have white coats, and it pops.
Here is the white version of your coat.

That's just my two cents. Hope it helps. Good luck in your decision.
As FYI, I also went to MM website to look at the pink shade and looked at the pink only, not next to any other clothing to alter the color. To me, in both photos, your photo and the website, the coat definitely looks like a dirty pink with a drop of brown/orange. If you like that, go for it! Color is 100% preference.

I'm glad that was helpful. Yes, I love white coats. I have been waiting for the Manuela to come out in a seaonal white. So far, the closest has been Sand, but I'm not a fan of sand as it is a dirty grey to me.thank you so much for your input!! so well thought out and persuasive. i was actually also considering the white, but im terrified to have a white coat and keep it clean. do you own any white coats? but all in all, i think camel is the way to go. i was worried camel was too safe/boring!

I have never had issues with my white coats. Never, and I do not baby my coats. I take them on the plane with me when traveling and toss them up in the overhead bin. It's not like I'm walking on a farm in the mud with my white coat on. I'm doing my normal things such as walking in the city, getting in/out of the car, going in to a building, to a restaurant, etc.
It's not like you are eating spaghetti with your coat on, so perhaps the fear is unwarranted.
Maybe pause for a moment now and think about your lifestyle when you wear a coat and what you do during those times your coat is acutally on your person. I bet you are fine.
I would go for white if you don't have a white coat. I love white and ivory in general (bags, shoes, clothing/coats) and never have any issues.
If you can't deal with white, then yes. camel is second best.
Good luck to you!
Yes, I did. I love it, the shorter length works for my height while still keeping that oversized look. With the mild winter we are having it has been getting a ton of use I just add a scarf for added warmth if needed.hi. I tried this one on today and I'm 5Ft. I kind of love it. did you end up buying this one?
I am quite straight up and down, and I can wear the manuela and like it quite a lot - be sure you're trying the right size as despite the more fitted nature of the coat, you may need to size down as the fit in the shoulders is the key to making it look like a coat instead of a robe. However you might like the Bingo as even though it's belted, it's not a lapel coat and in my opinion can't be considered to resemble a robe. https://world.maxmara.com/p-1016133306001-bingo-camelHi all
I have been trying to find a camel coat from MaxMara for ages
Been so many times and tried a lot of the unlined ones, but something doesn’t sit right. They don’t feel as luxurious as the lined ones and they seem to crease easily no matter what lune I choose from
I have straight frame and slightly full tummy so the robe ones don’t look good at all
I tried the buttoned ones with optional belt like the Paride they look okish but not wow
I am contemplating the Bcollag one
Thought of asking the experts as I am tired of feeling like nothing at Max Mara suits me
Hi! I agree with @pasdedeux1 in that I think the Manuela will look nice on you. It's not robey at all. On the contrary, becuase of you body shape, the wrap and tie can hug your waist to see definition. I feel with a shapeless coat, it will just accentuate your straight look and add more bulk, like a potato sack, so to speak.Hi all

Mine have been fine. No issues just let them air dry naturally not near a gray source and they come out the same as they were beforeHas anyone worn their max Mara 100% cashmere (ie. Ludmilla) in the rain? How does the coat fare? I don’t mean drenched in downpour, assume with umbrella but the umbrella can only cover so much, then there’s the wind factor.
I just went ahead and steamed my Max Mara coats using this hand-held steamer: https://www.amazon.com/Conair-Extreme-Handheld-Steamer-Champagne/dp/B07V91437Y?th=1
It worked well! I personally felt that it helped some of the camel hair fibers recover that "ripple" that BigAkoya and I were describing...but I could be imagining it / it is just wishful thinking! At least, the coat was definitely not damaged at all. I think in the future I'll try to use the steamer on my coats a few times a season to give them a bit of a refresh and just keep avoiding the dry cleaners.
