You are welcome, and I am glad it was helpful.
I tend to think you will be disappointed how flimsy it is being unlined. Plus, and I forgot to mention this, the coat is only 3/4 sleeve.
For me, I would be too cold using a 3/4 sleeve coat. Anyway, wait until it arrives to judge. It might suit your needs if you want something light.

The Quai is beautiful, very well made, and pure cashmere.
Oh, I have the Ludmilla and those kimono sleeves do annoy me when sweaters unintentionally pop out. I choose it since I was a little curvier and felt it had more room. I have since lost weight and will wear it oversized. But, would have chosen the Manuela if I was purchasing it now.

I did not look at the Rialto in the store but wondering your thoughts on that one compared to the Quai? I read your comment that you did not like the feel of the hood. If it helps, I am 5"6' and a size 12-14. I have attached a pic of the Quai in a size 8 that was taken at a horrible angle. I am trying to be prepared and narrow down a style before sizes are finalized in store.

I love the Quai on you! I think of it as a short version of the Madame, but better! Why better?
Because the Quai has set in sleeves, which I love. The Madame has oversized batsleeves (e.g. Kimono), and it can make the shoulders look droopy. To add to the oversized sleeves, the Madame has a small lapel, so the look is a round shoulder, tiny head especially when you button it up. The oversized droopy look is the look of that coat though.

The Quai is perfect to me. It has set in sleeves which gives the coat a nice structure and makes a person look taller with a more tailored shape. In addition, the Quai has a large lapel which I totally love beause it highlights the face. I think a large lapel looks fabulous when a coat is closed.

On the Rialto...
The Rialto is a coat I totally love in terms of it's design. I love love love the integrated hood and lapel, meaning the hood is part of the lapel. Unfortunately, to me, that is also its downside. The Rialto is super fun coat when you wear it with the hood on. However, when the hood is off, I feel the hood's weight wants to keep pulling the lapel back as it is the same piece. For the short time I was wearing it trying it on, I felt I constantly had to adjust and pull the lapel back down. Last thing on Rialto, I felt like it was a lot of fabric. As much as I love the integrated hood and lapel, I felt it added so much fabric to my upper body.

Back to the Quai...
I think it's beautiful on you. You have nice shoulders, and the set in sleeves accent your shoulders. Add to the set in sleeevs is the wonderful large lapel. The lapel looks great against your upper body and frames your face, making my eye want to move up to see your face. I also love how the double-breasted buttons and the angle pockets give it character. It is loose, but it is a structured tailored loose look which is a look I love. An added benefit is that it is cashmere, top quality.

I vote for the Quai. I also love the camel color on you. It's gorgeous, especially against your blond hair. You look like a classic beauty.

I know I sound so biased against the Arona, and I have not even seen the Arona modeled with real photos.
I can visualize it though. The look will be more loose (e.g. kind of floppy as it is not line), lightweight, and casual. The 3/4 sleeves though will bug me, that I know for sure.

The Arona will not look as structured and elegant as the Quai. However, you may be looking for something lightweight and casual like the Arona though and love it.

Now I can't wait to hear what you think of the Arona.
Whew... sorry for the long response. I hope some of it was helpful.

You are amazing! I am so impressed with your extensive knowledge. Thank you so much for a thorough and detailed reply. I think I am really sold on the Quai especially after reading your response. If you were my SA and shared all this with me when I tried it on, I would have have purchased the Quai immediately. Since going down sizes I think I would rather focus on a more wintery coat.

Thank you for your insight on the Rialto. I may not even need to try it on when I go back.

The Arona was shipped and should arrive tomorrow. I will keep you posted!

Can't wait to see the Arona on you. When you go back, try on the Rialto. I would love to hear your thoughts on it.
I truly love the design of that coat, but it does not work well on me. You might love it.
Oh, I also want to mention about the Rialto... the hood gives it a more casual look. However, when I wore it, I felt it does not quite work in a more formal/professional environment. Just my opinion of course. But it's a super cool design.

I am like a child waiting for presents on Christmas morning! I thought it would be delivered today but it is still at the facility.

It is a beautiful coat but the color just doesn’t work with my hair color and skin tone. I need a darker shade ☹️ Enjoy wearing it!
So, it arrived and you couldn't not have been more accurate and on the money with you extensive opinion regarding this coat. I had a tee-shirt on when I tried it on for a hot second. It was so itchy, did not feel soft, did not feel luxurious, hated the shorter sleeves and the pockets did not compliment me. I will put it on again to snap a picture in case it could benefit someone else. It was a total let down. I also do not think it complemented my curvy figure either. The color was a nice pop of color but that was about the only positive that I could share about this one. It also justifies that the Quai is the winner. Thank you again!

Horrible picture but here it is of the Arona:View attachment 5786840
Hi! Thanks for sharing, and yes, I agree with you. I like the Quai on you a lot more.
I can also tell by how the fabric folds, it's also thin and not quite the warmth of a real "coat" so to speak.

By the way, the Rialto will be a similar look except the fabric will be much thicker, but worse, in my opinion, is that busy integrated collar and hood. It is a lot of fabric around the upper body.

I vote Quai! Go for the Quai!
I also love the beige on you. So elegant.

FWIW I love the beige one on you…

A few years ago I bought the Rialto in Harrods -it’s very oversized and I’m very narrow shouldered so I bought a UK2(US 00) in dark blue.

I loved it, but usually wear shearling in winter..I was scared that I wouldn’t be warm enough , and was stupid enough to return it.
It’s now nearly double the price-I still like it and totally regret the decision.

I May buy it again next winter.
Once you’ve chosen the one for you , I suggest you buy it as the price increases are quite significant and the styles are classic..I wish I’d kept my Rialto..
I hope this helps a bit.

You look great in them all!

BigAkoya and Cecchetti, thank you so much for your replies. I went today and tried on the Rialto and BigAkoya was right again! I felt the need to continue to adjust the lapel as the hood was pushing it backwards and out of place. It is such a beautiful design in the front and so unfortunate.

I am going to feel the same way if I do not purchase it soon if the price increases as I know the Quai is the one for me.

Thank you again!

Hi everyone! Just wondering if any of you have advice on how to get wrinkles out of my 101801 coat? I ordered it online and it has fold markd/wrinkles that I would love to get rid of. Thank you in advance!

This looks great on you. I love the Icon style but at 5’3” feel the length too much. This seems like a perfect coat for that style and shorter length. Can you tell me if it is lined, as one I saw on Mytheresa site said unlined.
