I also found YouTube videos confusing about the sizing for the same reason, it was on both ends of the sizing chart
Since I already have the IT 38 at home, it might be helpful for you to see how it looks on me (for reference I am 170 cm)
I haven’t tried smaller than 38 but after trying 42,40 and 38, I don’t think I’d like the coat smaller than 38 which I believe is the best size out of the three for me.

Thanks @mery_v and @BigAkoya for detailed analysis of Madam and Manuela styling, colour and sizing. I bought the black Madam in 36 (advice from sale person), then I kept second guessing if I should have taken 38, my regular size, I am 165 cm straight up and down. After going through this thread I decided to exchange to 38 and also picked up Manuel in camel, size 40. I laughed so hard when you both mentioned Big round shoulders and little head look of Madam but I love the over size look and need extra space for my big sweaters for Canadian winters. But I love love the causal vibe of madam. The Manuel is more versatile can be dressed up or down but happy that I sized up. Enjoy your coats ladies, and @BigAkoya, please post mod shot of your beautiful red and white coats if you don’t mind!

I am a huge fan of Madame Coats! I've got my first one in Camel last autumn. It is gorgeous.. but my secret dream was always a Madame coat in a dark green colour..but it doesn't exist, right?..I said to myself if one day Max Mara will produce one..I will buy it in a heart beat..

As a new season AW23 collection was just released, I have checked for the new colours...And I almost fainted when I saw that this year my dream came true...a Madame coat in a perfect shade of green

In 5 mins the coat was in my cart and checked out! I had to share it here as who knows..maybe I am not the only one who was waiting for this beauty to finally show up!

I love this orange, but my coats are black, red, and camel, so it's not a great fit. I got the ivory color, but I think the orange would be gorgeous with your green coat. What a great pop of color. Just a thought.

Now you have me thinking again about that orange scarf!

I have three Manuelas, and the orange scarf will definitely not work with my red Manuela. Orange with my black Manuela would only work on Halloween night! That leaves my Camel Manuela. That would work, but it then reminds me of a Burberry theme. LOL!

Your green is the perfect match! Can’t wait to see the actual shade.
