I finally get to join in. Everyone's posts and photos have been super informative. Just purchased (thank you Saks one-time-use 20%off code!!!) this Rialto in black. I ordered both a 6 and an 8. Both fit fine, even over a thicker sweater, but I felt the 8 bunched a bit too much around the waist. Also online guide put me squarely in the 6. After trying them on a half dozen times I decided on the 6.

I plan to get a Manuela in camel later. When I tried on the Manuela in the boutique in HI they tried to put me in a 10, but I thought it looked huge and I could easily wear an 8 over a blazer. Sizing online for the Manuela was 50/50 split between a 6 and 8, so for that one I'll probably go for the 8 to wear with suits & such.

However, after seeing @Zoe Bradley in that amazing Milano style I'll have a tough choice ahead of me!

Has anyone had their coat lining replaced in the Max Mara store? A dry cleaner just ruined the lining of my beloved red Manuela, and I asked the Paris store and they said it will take weeks and be cost prohibitive, since they ship the lining from Italy and have to restitch whole coat. Am I better off just replacing the coat entirely?
It will still be less than a new coat so depending on the condition of your coat it may be worth it! Never hurts to ask for a quote!

I am going to purchase a long Max Mara coat. YAY!!! Looking at the S coat, vs others. I want something clean line looking, camel colored. I generally don't like double breasted. Please give me feedback on your Max Mara coat and what you like.
I am 5'6", have a long black wool Max Mara in 46 Italian, US 14 which has room for a sweater underneath.
TY!!
