I enjoyed reading the thread very much! Thank you ladies for such interesting discussion!

I just bought my first Herbag — pre-loved but hopefully in good condition. It will arrive soon and I can’t wait! I absolutely in love with this bag — even obsessed Already bought several silk twilly scarves for the handle

Would you please help me to establish names of colors for this bag? Thank you!

Never. The handle will become smooth and softer, but the lid will always be stiff. When closing, pull the tabs/sangles, which cinches the bag and the lid/hole will automatically find the post and close. Then, all you have to do is push the sangles through the post. It's actually really easy to close the bag that way.
Hi how do you protect the leather around the clasp? It's get stratched easily ...

Hi I am new to the herbag community. Just bought the really nice herbag last weekend...
May I know how do you all handle the easily scratched leather around the clasp ?
Do u have different way of carrying it to prevent the scratched leather ? TIA
I find the type of leather on the herbag very susceptible to scratches and kind of learnt to live with them. Also, my straps have some light cracks and the bag is almost 2 years old.

Beautiful color!

Some people prefer not to close the upper part — they just clasp the canvas and leave the leather part
lay over freely

How long does it take for the top leather piece to relax? I love her but she’s a pain to close! It’s so stiff! I’m torn between enjoying her newness and wanting to rush the process by trying to soften her! View attachment 5806183
Mine is 10years old and still pretty stiff.
Its Hunter Leather and I dont think it softens very much at all.

It will scratch ...But honestly over time you won't notice it.
As I mentioned mine is over 10years old and although its got scratches they've patina'd well and they really just sort of become part of the character of the bag.
But I'm not precious with my bags and dont baby them.

Thank you for that advice and happy I am not the only one getting scratches.
