I need your advice please. I bought my mono Favorite MM in Oct 2018 new from the store. I have carried it a handful of times, then put it in it's box and forgot about it. I have just took it out and noticed the crease, that formed on the front flap.
Should I take it back to the store and ask them to fix it, or should I just sell it privately? The stickers are still on the metal plate and the long strap has never been used, so it's a nearly new bag and I'm quite upset with the crease.

I think your only chance is to take it to the store and ask if this is considered a defect. If they are accomodating then they might give you store credit. But not sure if they still do this after 4 years... The bag is also not in production anymore.
I guess your best option is to sell the bag if you have an issue with the crease. My Favorite has this crease too although I hardly ever used her. But it does not bother me that much...

A similar thing happened to me. I bought mine in 2019, used it twice and never took the vachetta strap out of its dustbag. It had a slight crease forming in the flap anyway. And the magnet was weaker than I’d like. Realized I was never really going to use it much, so I sold it to fashionphile about a month-ish ago. They gave me $1200 for it. I knew they would get a lot more selling it, but was satisfied with getting more than what I paid for it.
If you really like the bag you could take it in to see what they say. The crease is so common though, that my guess is they may say it’s normal wear n tear. But you never know unless you ask.

Thank you very much for your kind advice. I think I also dislike this bag because it's so slouchy, even though I use an organizer inside it. I will go to the boutique tomorrow and see what they have to say. Meantime I will write to a reseller for a quote. Fingers crossed!

I bought mine in 2016 and used it regularly and in 2018 a crease started forming. They credited me the 2018 value as it was deemed a defect and I had the option to exchange it for another Favorite or towards another bag. I ended up with the crossette as all of the new favorites seemed slouchy and flimsy in comparison to my original. In retrospect I wish I had kept it (it was a really great starter bag) or sold privately as I would have gotten a lot more l…it was so much in demand at the time.

oh yes. "the dreaded crease" it has been named here. Mine was really bad. I store it now with one of my husbands heavy tube socks under the flap and the crease has actually gotten better! Ill take a picure when I have time

I wish they would credit me with the last value of this bag, as I would like to buy a bag that's more structured. I am pretty much done with canvas I think.

Mine wasn't very bad, but once I could see it, it bothered me and I have stopped using it completely. Please do post some photos when you find some time.

So today I went to my store to show them the bag. The manager took it in and they are sending it off to be evaluated. She told me, that normally there is nothing they can do, as the bag is made out of one piece of canvas. Meantime I will get some quotes from resellers to see what I can get for it. I feel a bit sorry about the whole situation, as I really loved the bag when I first got it, and it really is in as new condition (apart from the annoying crease!).

I will keep you guys posted as soon as they reply to me.

I have just collected my Favorite MM back from the repairs. They told me the bag looks like new and there is nothing they can do, especially since the crease is very faint still. I guess I will either use it as my daily, or sell it if it really bugs me.

I think if the crease isn’t that much visible to just use the bag. Mine is from 2018 and I used her 1 year constantly and yes, finally there appeared a crease but it doesn’t bother me. I love my Favorite MM in mono and would never let her go. She is so practical and everything about her I like so much :smile: but that’s me and my pov.

Thank you, I would be sorry to let it go for sure. I guess I will just have to use it more as my daily bag and try not to notice the crease :)
