Oh wow. Did the SA offered the SO? Or you gave them hints you wanna do SO thats why they offered you SO? Im willing to wait a yr to get a special order done.
I actually didn’t inquire about the SO. They just offered it to me. Everything I wanted was a smaller bag (b25 or Kelly 20) and I don’t think they get much. My guess is the SO was the only route. I honestly feel like Hermes is just a hard puzzle to figure out (especially Houston) and it’s so dependent on your SA.
What on earth is the deal with this?! Is the Houston SM low-man on the H Podium? A girlfriend of mine says the same thing about her home store of Vegas. All sorts of bag offers and is shocked at the level of stock in Houston. I have tried to move stores but for some reason the SA's are not cool at all with this. I asked for a SO again on my last visit but with the lack of stock at our particular store, I'm sure it will fall on deaf ears. My spend is about 90% of the other categories outside of SLG/bags. There is a croc Medor there as of yesterday if you're in the market for an exotic.I don't post much on PF (I am a lurker lol) but my home store is also Houston and my SA has also told me the same. No quota bags available because of Covid, and I spend a good amount with her. I also check in probably every 2-3 weeks and she always tells me there's nothing.Whenever I drop by to visit her, the store shelves look completely empty. I have been with her for 4 years now, have been offered 2 quota bags (declined both because they weren't the perfect specs for me) during the pandemic and took home a C18 maybe 3 years ago? I am getting impatient though. I have a friend in NYC that shops at the meatpacking store and has gotten all her dream bags in the last year!
Trust me I feel everyone's pain. Yes I have been lucky enough to get a special order and another bag last year but that came with a high amount of spending (fine jewelry and RTW). This year I have spent close to I what I spent last year if not more and haven't heard a peep about a bag but I'll bring it up and see what they say lol

thanks for your honesty - I feel it’s pretty clear about spend and bags. I asked for a while for a rose gold hardware Birkin… 1year goes by and nothing . I purchased fine jewelry and voila - next week I got the call for a black Togo Birkin 30. This year I had a similar experience- I might have spent a bit more than last year but again - crickets. I can understand it’s supply and demand so I don’t sweat it. I believe next year will equalize out since they are also hiring more artisans and opening more centers in France.
Hi, has anyone been to the Dallas store lately? Is it possible to do a walk-in? They don’t have any appointments available online. Have read the SAs aren’t that friendly?
Was in on Friday. Appointments are a challenge for sure and they are terrible about answering the phone/returning calls. I’ve worked with a few SAs lately that have been delightful though not necessarily knowledgeable. And yes I’ve seen them turn appointment-less folks away at the door.
Best to try to set an appointment for 1-2 weeks in advance. Oh, and they don’t have many bags in stock. IIRC a garden party and a couple of the trims that are woven from silk.

That was quick. Any eye candies in stock? Like seasonal colored slgs, leather bracelets… exotic leather small items..
Last time I was there not many slgs (I was looking for a Calvi). Seemed like there were lots of bracelets and a few exotic wallets.
