You’re welcome! I’m hoping that most of us waiting will get happy surprises here soon. I completely understand exactly where you are right now and trying to figure the next step. I was there a few months ago lol. I had to have a convo with myself and change my thoughts on what I think shopping should be like vs recognizing what shopping is like with H! Hang in there. The good thing is our store doesn’t seem as competitive as some of the others so we have a greater chance at getting exactly what we want!
Let’s hope so .. it’s nice to hear that someone really gets how my brain is functioning right now. I guess I will come to a point where I can tell myself this is different from getting other things .. I need to be patient .. one thing for sure .. Hermes is teaching me how to be focused and patient.

I wish I had positive things to say about the Dallas boutique but having been a customer for 20+ years, it has not bene the same since Martha left. I have tried to work with a few different SA's since COVID and find the customer service and responsiveness lacking. Can't tell you much about handbags as I am out of that market. I was there in February to buy some new season scarves and worked with a new SA. They had not gotten very much in and I knew more about the scarves than the SA. I took their card and said I would email what else I was interested in which I did but never got a reply. I met an SA at one of the Vegas stores and now text her when I am looking for something or buy my scarves via herms.com. You might want to call ahead to see if you can make an appointment. I just started my Hermes journey last Friday. I went to local boutique at where I live in Dallas texas. I met a SA 1st time and spent almost 8k. He seems to be a nice man. Of course I hint him that what bags I like to get. He told me that he will go though that with me this coming week if I want to meet him which is this coming Friday. So he put me down to meet him for this Friday. Anyway, I wanted to know if anyone here have ever shopped at Dallas texas boutique and got a dream bag from there and can share me some experience. TIA

As you see the Texas thread is not active. From what it seems (this is only my observation) Texas stores are really good at trying to get the client their first bag pretty quickly.
I’d say don’t hint around just be straightforward with what you are there for so there’s no time wasted. Good luck Friday!

I wouldn’t ask about spend. I’d just tell him you’re looking to get a mini Kelly and then see what he says. In my experience the US SAs will not directly tell you that you need to spend a to get b. They typically guide you with things like “maybe you’d like a watch?” I do know that Houston and Austin (not sure about Dallas) love jewelry buyers lol.
Keep in mind MK are in high demand and are probably the hardest to get for most especially as a first time bag. C
Hopefully someone that shops at Dallas will chime in about how to obtain a MK. Being honest and straightforward works best!
When I was there 1st time I didn’t look for a coat but he brought out the coat ($6500) and asked me to try on with the sandal ($770) and I bought them both on 1st day from him and I asked him if we can talk about my wishlist and he said not at the same day. He wanted me to come in next week or whenever I am free which is this coming Friday. I feel this is weird why he didn’t want to go through my wishlist at the same day when I spent almost 8k. I know I will need to spend some $ each month but I don’t know if I spend $ too quick. Would this speed up to get what I want?

Getting a mini kelly for a first bag from Dallas is likely going to take a lot of time and a lot of spending. I know more than one big spender there that waited YEARS and six figure+ spending before finally getting any MK offer at all and then the color wasn’t even one on their list. I think the SA was trying to give you the hint that bags are going to be slow when they delayed discussing your wishlist and I suggest you set your expectations accordingly. Good luck!
Dallas is a hugely productive store ($$$) which means they have a larger buy than smaller stores. This means more bags/more product but also more clients and more competition.
In my opinion, this store is not just about spending (although I hate talking about spending in general, it just takes all the joy away from the process in my opinion), it's about client longevity. While I'm sure there are plenty of newer folks who are getting offered amazing pieces, if you have something super specific in mind (say only a mini kelly), it might take longer (years). I'm sure there are longer term clients who are also waiting for the same thing.
Remember, it's a marathon, not a sprint. Take your time, enjoy the process, and try not to overthink it. That removes all of the joy.
