Balenciaga for my next bag, please. I like the Work, the Sunday and the Day. I worry though when I see people talk about how they wear so easy on the corners and bottom. Why is this?

Wear and tear are natural for handbags so I wouldn't let that be a discouraging factor toward getting a Bbag! If anything, I think Bbags are more beautiful broken-in. The degree of corner/bottom wear on Bbags depends on the style too. I have several Days and they have almost no such wear.

Maybe Bbags are more sensitive to wear because the leather is thinner and more delicate. There's also a glaze to the leather so if it's been scratched, the leather can look dull in places. Dirt and stains can stand out more because of the bag's color or the way the leather's been distressed. But Bbags are really beautiful and even if you baby it, it'll wear one way or another so I'd just enjoy it
