Just bringing some honesty here, folks. You don't have to like it. However, if you're spending literally hundreds of dollars on a bag that's a hot item and that you've never seen in person before, then I figure you should at least be aware that it looks like the quality of bag that you'd find at H&M or Zara: disposable. Being hard to get doesn't change that. Some people might not mind just to have the cachet of having a hot bag, but others might.

This is exactly why I didn’t want to get into hype, as the construction of the bag, lack of zipper closure, detachable shoulder straps made me question whether I want this bag just because of the hype, as I know I would never get a bag that has these issues from other brands… maybe it looks nice on Instagram and YouTube, but doesn’t look functional for real life for me

They don't look nice in real life, either, and they don't hold up well. Again, I see them pretty often in Chicago, and they get pretty beat up and fall apart over time. They look fine for something that would be a free gift with purchase, but I wouldn't spend any money on them.

I've had mine for several months now and will say that I like it for airplane travel especially - fits my laptop and other things I like to carry on me for travel that don't fit in my other bags, but still under the seat in front of me so I can access it easier during the flight. Also since it was relatively inexpensive I don't mind as much that it's on the floor.

It's also handy on errand days or similar days where I'm going from place to place. I get around mainly on foot or by bus/train and don't have opportunities to store things in a car. The tote is nice to carry the things I need to take with me and also stash things I acquire on a Target run or pharmacy pick up or whatever and I avoid paying the city bag fee for using a plastic bag.

Sometimes my normal purses and a folding reusable shopping bag do the trick, but sometimes I need more room than in my purse but not as much as an entirely separate bag.

That being said, I have wished that the long straps were adjustable or removable at times!

I’m with you - I like this bag a lot - I never worry about inclement weather or having to be careful with it like many of my other bags, and I really like Telfar Clemens and what he has done/is doing, for many years in fashion. He was “an overnight“ sensation after many years in fashion. And I love the community he serves, very inclusive unlike many houses. The Telfar IG is fabulous!

I also wish the shoulder straps were removable and adjustable, they get in the way sometimes, especially for the smallest size. But at least they are long enough for me at 5’8” - so many luxury houses make shoulder straps that are way too short/not adjustable, and not comfortable.

It has become my go to dog training bag for classes. I can see why you like it for travel and around town. I have a 5 1/2 month old German shepherd, and she has gear :P water bottle, paper towels, treats, masks, hand sanitizer etc. and I can still take her to class in style, and load up the medium that holds everything she needs, and not worry if something spills or when I put it on the floor. And I throw in an LV pouch for my ’”supplies” and we are set. I will stick with my medium and my small and likely won’t buy more, but I’m so glad I have these.:flowers:

I find the Telfar bags to be incredibly well made for the price. I mean, there is only so much you can get for 100-300 dollars nowadays lol

I have the mini which is super cute and fun for casual outings. My bff has the medium as a workhorse bag she's used for 2 years now (essential worker throughout the pandemic) and it has been incredibly durable throughout. They don't look bad at all and don't really fall apart.

Heck, I'd go as far as to say that the quality of these Telfars live up to my high end designer bags. Are they like my birkins? No absolutely not. But they are pretty comparable to my Prada bags for sure.
