Has anyone seen this bag IRL? I like how it looks online

Personally i was not crazy about it at all...I feel it is an awkward shape...

I bought the gold clutch - it is a very classic looking evening bag, and for the price, very nicely made, I think. The nice thing about evening bags is that you really don't carry them that often (nor for very long when you do), so buying an attractive but inexpensive one makes sense.

I also picked up one of the large totes (in the light gold) and ordered the same large tote in the darker gold. When they are both side by side, I will decide which to keep, or whether they both get returned.

But the clutch is a keeper - I think it is the best of the bunch.

I got a look at them. Yes, the hobo is rather stiff. However, I thought they did a pretty good job replicating the look of python scales. Also, the bags do seem to be better made than Target's other brands. I am seriously considering one of the box clutches. I don't go to a whole lot of event that require evening wear, so I don't like the idea of spending big bucks on an evening bag. The box clutch would be perfect for the price.

Dustbags would be nice. I know that the Isaac Mizrahi and Rafe bags have dustbags.

i went to target again today to do some shopping, and all the devi bags are GONE! not one left, last time i went which was 5 days ago there were at least 20 of them, now it's just empty hooks. i didn't think they would actually sell out that fast. now im even more pleased with my box clutch. im glad i snatched it.

I went and saw the Devi bags today. I was very unimpressed. The faux-snakeskin hobos and totes were very stiff. The "shopper" was, I agree with Sealy, an akward shape. The handles are far too short to go over the shoulder and I could see it getting dirty very easily. The only bag I saw that I liked, they don't even have it on the Target website. The best way to describe it is an evening bag, but it's not the clutch they have on the website.

Overall , imho, this isn't worth the $. It's not designer bags and Target prices, it's Target bags at Target prices. Oh well...

I was in Target for some other things, and I remembered that these bags should be in the store, but when I saw them, truthfully, there was nothing that I could say that was truly remarkable to make a big fuss about. Just didn't like them.

Maybe I am not in the norm but I was pretty impressed. The qulaity IMO was very nice for the money. I think they really put the effort into making them as nice as they could. I wish they carried all of the bags in the actual stores though. I went the other day to check them out and ended up going home with the light gold hobo. I really like the shape of the hobo- not too big, not too small. I actually thought the hobo wasnt near as stiff as pictures make it look. As I have used mine it has gotten looser too. The tote was HUGE and although I like the overall shape I know that I would never use it bc it is so big. I would love to get the anthacrite(sp?) hobo and the dark gold clutch. I think it is SO awesome designers are doing lines for Target! It really is a way to let everyday ppl own something they can be proud of.

Finally saw these bags IRL, I thought that they looked okay but they are a little stiff. The small pochette looked cute but there were no more of the clutches (which was the one I wanted). I thought the smaller pieces were better looking ... the hobos and totes were not so impressive IRL.

I was back at Target today and they got the DK bags in. They had the totes in goldtone and anthracite, but they're way too large to use as a handbag (I'm talking HUGE!)

The tote is pretty much the same as the hobo bag, but the shoulder strap is smooth instead of faux snakeskin. I really liked the strap of the tote bag better than the strap on the hobo.

They had the light goldtone hobo (I guess this is the only color available in stores - you have to buy the others online) and tried it on & looked in the mirror. It doesn't look all THAT bad when you're wearing it and maybe once it's stuffed, it'll look nicer. I'm thinking about ordering the anthracite (black) one online.

Has anyone bought a hobo bag & used it already? How does the bag carry when it's full? It didn't seem like it would stay in place that well - the shoulder strap seemed a little slippery & stiff. I wonder if when the bag is full and used a few times, if it softens up and carries better.

I think the bags are cute, but not even close to being mistaken for the original Devi Kroell line of bags. No worries for the owners of the real thing! I went to Target looking for maybe the clutch or the tote, but they only had the pouchette, the hobo and the tote. The pouchette was cute, but not for me. I tried on the tote, and carried that bag all over the store! I do like it as a work bag - it will fit my laptop, pashmina, make-up bag, bottle of water, magazine, etc. Still couldn't decide though, and ended up ordering the tote in anthracite (great color!) from target.com. I'm excited about getting it. I need a functional but funky work bag, and this will foot the bill for a lot less than what I was planning to spend.

Me too! It's insulting to the buyers of the original line that the Designer herself made cheap knockoffs of her own bags.

I don't think it's insulting at all. If you can afford the original Devi Kroell, than that's great, but there are a lot of people who can't afford them but may like the look. I think it's a much better idea that the designer herself is making a "replica" bag giving those who want one, but can't afford it, the chance to own one. Maybe it'll cut down on the counterfeit DK bags.

Also, for those who may be "vegan" or against the use of actual animal skins, the Target line is nice alternative. You can buy an actual DK bag (even tho it's for Target), w/o sacrificing an animal (or reptile) for luxury!

eek, i was gonna stop by today to take a look. not gonna buy anything, but really....why are people so threatened by a target knockoff? cant you tell the difference...or are you saying the target ones are such quality the cost/benefit ratio undermines paying big bucks?
