I’ve been wearing mine for about a week now and the leather is still softening.

It’s my first watch so I’m not sure how it’s supposed to be but I noticed that the buckle is off centered when I look at the bottom of my wrist. Is this normal? Has anyone ever gotten their straps adjusted to fix it? I know that would make the straps look uneven when the watch is off.

Also the buckle/loops dig into my skin a bit… should I wear it looser? This size looks nice to me so I’m not sure!

Congratulations; it looks lovely on you! 😍 If I’m understanding your concern about the buckle placement correctly, I don’t think it’s an issue; the buckle’s placement will vary depending on wrist size and what hole you fasten it on. But I’ll let others weigh in, especially regarding Cartier customizing strap size which they can do on custom orders.

It does look like it’s a little tight on you; how does it feel? I prefer to wear my watches a bit looser and would probably put it on the next loosest hole, so it wasn’t digging into my skin, but if it’s comfortable to you then disregard! Also, the leather will continue softening and stretching slightly as you wear it, so maybe in time it will be more comfortable at its current notch. Enjoy! 💙

Thanks for your input! I was hesitant to wear it at the next notch as the leather will start wrinkling there too, but here it is! It still visually looks like it’s squeezing my wrist when looking at the bottom/buckle side lol! But it’s actually quite loose and slides around a lot. Maybe this is better though as it doesn’t dig into my skin and I just need to wait for the leather to soften since it’s still pretty stiff.

YW! 💙 And that is so interesting how it looks so different depending on what side you’re looking at it from. On this setting, it does look loose from the top! I wouldn’t worry about wrinkling multiple holes; no one will notice but you and all leather bands will get wrinkles in time as they soften and meld to fit you perfectly. Plus, they can always be replaced when they eventually get worn out! Ultimately, I’d say just go with whatever fit is most comfortable to you — some people prefer their watch to be tight and not able to move at all on their wrist; others like a little more movement.

The tighter setting will probably get more comfortable over time as you break the band in, so perhaps you can switch back to that one when it softens! Enjoy, and thank you for all the eye candy! 😍 🍬
