Crazy4Handbags: Mixed HW, not signature, and yes, the seller did say it was bought during an NYC sample sale, that Ms. Minkoff herself was doing signings at. That was very perceptive of you!

Hi! I'm new here. I just purchased a Rebecca Minkoff Morning After Bag, and I need help determining if the color is "Tangerine" or "Burnt Orange". I have checked the RM color reference page, but could not determine it based on pictures other users have uploaded.

The seller describes it as the "Tangerine" shade. I just want to make sure that I have the correct bag. Thank you for any help you can provide.

That is burnt orange. I had that bag a long time ago. (thought I was purchasing Tangerine ).

What helps me to tell:
(Burnt Orange)
1. The "D" ring hardware
2. the blue white striped lining.

I believe "Burnt Orange" was a Gilt sale bag?? Maybe someone else can chime in.


There are two versions of Tangerine
1. siggy hardware -and black/white floral lining
2. a newer tangerine - short finished tassels like yours but it has the mixed hardware (it's not rounded - it's square) and has the black/white floral lining.
Little Rock has this bag - she's probably posted it a few times. try a search in the reference threads.

I had a Burnt Orange MAC. And yes, it was a Gilt bag but I think it was a regular offering,too. But I could be wrong on that. Tinyturtle that does look like Burnt Orange. Blue signature Bengaline lining, mixed hardware and it is slightly less bright than Tangerine. Has a little bit of a brown undertone. Hope that helps. I found I liked the Burnt Orange better but I'm not much of an orange gal.

I'm wondering if anyone can help me with newest SS 2011 Tangerine? They are in stock in local Holts store. The Holts inventory scans as Tangerine but that could be sheer luck. Their info does not necessarily match up with what a designer says. The mam has the Kiss lining and the leather is very soft versus stiff. The leather is still thick enough though. In my mind, the colour is very peachy or like a cantaloupe. It's not a vivid tangerine shade but I can see it being called *soft* tangerine. I'd like to know it's official RM name.

So maybe I am just broken when it come to searching threads.

I am receiving a tangerine MAB in a few days. This will be my first RM. I was wondering what type of leather that color is ? Is it glazed ? Should I condition it before I use apple guard ? Can it play in the rain?
