American Idol (Season 1) contestant Tamyra Gray, 27, married Sam Watters (member of the 90s R&B group Color Me Badd), 36, this weekend in Italy.
People magazine reports that the two were married on Saturday on the island of Capri, Italy. The couple have been together for two years. They got engaged on Valentines Day when Watters proposed with an antique diamond engagement ring in a platinum setting.
Gray, who was in the top four of the first season of American Idol, has turned to acting and has had appearances in Boston Public and What I Like About You. She was also in the 2005 film The Gospel. Watters has produced and wrote songs for Celine Dion, Jessica Simpson, and Kelly Clarkson. He also worked on Grays 2004 solo album, The Dreamer.
