This is the giant TP26 from last summer. There are two pieces of canvas that are double stitched at the base, which gives it more structure. The Escale TP26 is one piece of canvas and no double stitching at the base. The mono and DE TP26 are not double stitched at the base either but the canvas is thicker and they do not sag at the base like the Escale TP26. The base of the Escale TP26 is a design flaw.
Yes, so it seems. They seemingly hurried this collection and didn’t stitch, sew, and do things well so these flaws were minimized. I’ll be curious to see your pieces today. Fingers crossed
So sorry you found these Escale items disappointing and their quality lacking... It's such a shame that LV canvas seems to keep getting thinner and thinner. I wonder if it has anything to do with the patterns/colours they must print or are they just doing this to make production costs cheaper? When the Speedy's and SLG's started coming out with thinner canvas a few years back (supposedly for a pliable/durable function or to take on less damage long term), I was open minded about it but am starting to suspect it translates more along the lines of LV's overall quality decline. Not a good outcome for any fans of this release.

The FOMO is real. I think having all this time at home (even if I am working from home) contributes to it. I didn't want anything at all initially but the more I saw the pochette the more I wanted one. I had considered the Zoe wallet but after going with a card holder as a wallet for 4-5 years now I don't think I can deal with anything bulkier (certainly don't carry cash or coins around so the coin and flat pocket compartments would be useless for me too)
Same. Completely torn on whether to get something from this collection or not. I'm not usually a tie dye person or non-classics but for some reason I'm drawn to it. Perhaps it's all the duress of what's going on, stress and constant anxiety that I feel more drawn to get something that looks like a unicorn tie-dye explosion to put me in a cheery disposition. Not that I'll be going out with it anytime soon but perhaps just stare at it from my bedside *sigh*
I’m afraid I will get tired of it quickly and like the classics better...I want to make sure I use it. I felt the same way about the jungle collection and now not loving it...I suppose you could carry it around the house for now..
