Suede bags - love them or hate them??

I don't currently have a suede Coach bag but I did have a tote in a berry colored suede and it was surprisingly durable (and I really used it). The leather got scuffed and dirty more quickly than the suede! I do think the light suede would be hard to take care of though, I typically shy away from most light colored bags for that reason.

im thinking of getting the wristlet... i dont like the contrasting white threading on the suede bags or else id be more interested.
They are easier to take care of and easier to not worry about IMO. It's smaller and cheaper than a bag.

I know...it seems like all the prettiest colors are in suede, especially when they come out with the fall bags. I have yet to buy one, though, because I know there's no way I could keep it clean. So sad!

Love the way it looks. I have 5 or 6 Coach Suede bags. I treat them with a suede protector and just try not to worry too much about stains. Also use the little suede/nubuck kit that comes with the bags periodically to keep them looking good. Only one of my bags is really showing any dirt and it's a beige bag that I use regularly for work.

I love suede a lot. You should always spray it with leather protectant before you carry it and try not to carry it on wet days (I always stuff mine inside my coat if it's winter and snowing or something). I've never had problems. Suede shoes on the other hand...

I absolutely HATE suede it is the hardest material to keep clean and looking new! Coach over the past few years has been using more and more suede and lighter and lighter suede and in more areas that are accessable to areas that will be more heavily bumped up against things and touched ie on the bottom of purse it is just waiting for you to set it on something, ie next to a zipper so when your hands aren't the cleanest, ie on the handles so the suede can rub off and your purse only has some nubbings left instead of suede! I had purchased a Coach Scribble Khaki which the light tan suede trim this past spring and after carrying it on no more than five separate occasions the suede was blue from rubbing up against my jeans! Needless to say I was sick about it, but at least it was one of my more inexpensive bags! The only bag I currently have that has suede on it is the patchwork indigo which only has a few patches on it that are blue suede not too bad that I can handle! I absolutely love the Coach Chelsea Optic Signature Satchel however it has suede bottom which I will not invest that much money into it something only to get ruined after a few uses! I will not carry ugly dirty bags that look used! If it doesn't look new I won't carry it!
