I haven't seen an answer to your question MindiB. So, I will try to do so without offending Mr. ID. Because, really, I don't know him apart from his posts.
Perhaps he suffers from narcissism and is forever in pursuit of narcissistic supply.

I have to chip in here! I truly wholeheartedly enjoyed reading this thread! It is most hilarious and entertaining thread I've ever come across in TPF!

I also could not comprehend why ID is posting relentlessly on this thread. I think the question of why has been asked quite a few time by various members but I don't seem to be able to find a straight answer from him.

ID doesn't seem to like the luxury goods industry because they put a huge mark up on products and employ immigrates. ID doesn't seem to have any positive things to say about other members' posts here. He claims he doesn't have time to date but he has spend quite some time and energy to gain the status of the most posted member on this thread. Seriously, why?

What an fantastically entertaining thread!...... welcome SF members ....... you have brightened up this thread!....... feeling a little upset that i have had to buy my own Hermes bags when i have found out that my husband should have bought them!... i told him this and he went green!........:D... that said he may join the dark side as he didn;t realise there was a forum for the fashion conscious male!
