Well, I just read all 24 pages of this thread, and it was/is quite entertaining. As the wife of a man who spends as much time over at the SF as I do here, I blame the boys on his obsession with shell cordovan. However, the SF has sharpened his tailoring skills. He now cruises second hand stores for bespoke suits that he can tailor to fit him.

Oh, and when will we see vaclav?

My darling miyake, that is none other than the highly-esteemed mafoofan, the gent who wanted a dark green pebble-grained calfskin breast wallet that he attempted to custom order from Hermès Madison and who started a thread of epic proportions on his own Style Forum. It is he and his quest who is the source of all the fresh blood that has been infused into our little world. :p

(Didn't you read the first post of this thread???) :p

Didn't he ever hear the queen of all fashion, Karl Lagerfeld's Mademoiselle Gabrielle Chanel say, "look in the mirror and take off one piece,"
(sorry Cakey, couldn't resist!)

Oh, one more expensive leather, Mr. Ick, I entirely forgot the gentle goat. The subtle, most lovely skin of the goat is one of the most highly sought-after leathers of all. Our Birkins and Kellys are lined with it. Our SLGs are made of it. I have a very unusual agenda made of rose shocking goat nubuck. The loveliest piece of Hermes I have ever had -- and got at a huge bargain at the coveted Hermes VIP sale to which I was invited and I look forward to every six months.
Over and out guys, I am done with you. Need good quality time with my DH & the poodles.
Have a happy holiday for real. I think you have broadened our horizons. And given us a much needed collected laugh.
And, in case you missed it, my "kids" wish you all a happy new year

One can't help but wonder if the reason that foo is getting his desired wallet is due to his posting about his experience on both forums. We know that Hermes appears to know what is said on tpf. I think they were embarrassed (and rightly so!) and have tried to make amends.

But it should NOT have happened in the first place. I LOVE Target's motto - "Expect more, pay less". Unfortunately, somedays it appears that Hermes' motto is "Expect nothing and pay more"!

I think the squeaky wheel got the oil he deserved and that tpf and the sf should probably get the credit for it.
