I have finally received my beautiful bag and I love it!
I am still however not able to find shoes... It's the plantar fasciitis that's stopping me of buying any shoes I'd like, I have to think of arch support and soft heel cups etc. and the possibility of being able to take away the insole of a shoe and replace it with my custom made ones.
I have been considering these by Camper but you cannot remove the insole and not sure if they are very tight. Also, if I just slap the insole on top of the existing one, will it be too high to stay on my foot...
Then there's the ugly and not very festive Sketchers that might be really comfortable but... I might not even need to add anything to these but they're not leather which is a bit of a bummer.
And the most beautiful - and the most expensive ones - from shoes I've found so far are these sandals from Vionic. They make shoes that are basically orthotic sandals but pretty ones. Sadly they don't have any regular shoes to offer.
I was always planning on wearing tights/pantyhose even though I hate them but if I get these sandals, I might skip them regardless of etiquette. I'm still hoping to find nice mary janes with a bit of heel that I can wear not only at parties but also whenever I want to wear smart looking shoes but finding ones that are suitable for someone with heel pain is difficult, especially since I need to find these in Europe - and fast.
