Struggling to find a bag to match an outfit, any brand

I'm afraid I'm not brave enough to get a white or beige bag... For the same reason I rarely wear white - it doesn't stay white for long! But I love the idea of a white bag so I am definitely open to it in the future.

I hope you don't find me terribly boring if I tell you I chose a black bag... My ever so loving husband wanted me to have it because I fell in love with it, partly because it reminds me of my grandma who passed away long ago.

Now I just have to find shoes which will be very challenging... You see, I suffered from plantar fasciitis a couple of years ago and have almost been symptom free after I got custom made orthotics and started to wear orthopaedic slides at home. But I won't wear sneakers or those ugly slides at a party! I have no idea where I can find pretty shoes with reasonable arch support.

If you have a cute Mary Jane or ballet flat shoe, your orthotic may work ok, otherwise there are 3/4 orthotics for dress shoes that can help a lot. Ferragamo's Vara pump can accommodate a 3/4 orthotic intended for use with heels.

You’re not boring for choosing a black bag!

Also, that style in the third pic with the bag is perfection!

LOVE the bag choice! Where is it from?

I do hope you post a pic of your whole outfit!

It's from Etsy, a shop called Taschenkinder. I am sort of in love with these shoes but tell me what I already know - they don't go with the whole ensemble!

I just can't help myself whenever I find a shoe with a Louis heel... I am trying to find mary janes with a kitten heel in black but it is surprisingly difficult.

I don’t think they go with your ensemble. But replacing the dress is pretty easy! :)

Try Capezio? Looks like dance shoes but possibly less comfy.

I hope I haven't gone too much off-topic since this is now more than just the bag!

I am set on the dress, will not replace it! Not sure about how to be prepared for possible cold weather (cardigan/shawl/blazer? I think I have some lace ponchos in the back of my closet which I fear are not in style at all right now) and still unsure about what jewellery to choose (Are pearls too granny? Big Indian lacy bali hoop earrings in silver which I love? Amethysts/Ametrines? I guess rubies are out of the question this time :-s ) and how to style my awful hair... I did order a slightly more formal style hair claw that matches the dress in case I cannot figure out anything else but an easy French twist, I fear it's a faux pas for many but...

These shoes would have been perfect and I've bought Camper shoes before, very comfy and excellent quality... Sadly they've just had a sale so they've ran out of my size.

I will look into Ruby Shoo now but their shoes might be a bit too busy. To top it all, my left heel is starting to show signs of plantar fasciitis (last time it was the right one) and I really do not want to have a flare up! I know Vionic has shoes you can wear if you suffer from PF but not sure what other brands there are. I will have to ask the hostess whether she allows heels to be worn at her house after the official part of the event is done and we move to her house for some refreshments, cake etc. (some ppl want guests to change their shoes or even go without, I've seen it happen) I hope shoes are ok, I cannot go barefoot because of the PF and I would rather be caught dead than fish out a pair of ugly pool style orthopedic slides from my bag and look silly the rest of the day! :yucky:

P.S. The handbag manufacturer also has this website in addition to their Etsy shop (click 'English' from the bottom right corner):

I used to have these Camper shoes but gave them away because they weren't very comfortable and squeezed my feet too much. Camper shoes seem to run narrow and it might have worked out better if I'd gone up half a size, which might be good news for you if Camper has that size available! :)

I have plantar fasciitis too and FitFlop offers really good arch support. But it might not have suitable styles for the event you are attending. I have a pair of Camper wedges that has been surprisingly good for my foot pain, perhaps do a search to see if they have current styles that might work for you?

Okay. We need a full shot of the dress, definitely need a pic of the Bali hoops which sound amazing and your hair.

Actually just photo everything and then we can help.
For whatever reason, my phone won't let me add more pics at once than one (the layout gets all messed up and images posted on top of each other) so here's the earrings...
