Stretching Coach Boots?

Has anyone had any experience with having the shaft of their Coach boots stretched? If so, how did you do it? By a cobbler or stretcher tool? And how much were you able to stretch them? What was the cost?

Coach leather is very high quality and easy to stretch with the right tools. I bought my wife a pair of Coach Aida boots a while back and was able to stretch over an inch in each boot shaft with some garage tools. If you are not confident in tackling this, most good shoe repair/cobbler shops can do it reasonably cheap.
