Hello everyone. I'm considering purchasing the Midi Tote in Bridle leather and wanted to see if anyone who has it could give me some feedback? I suspect it will scratch easily but have you found it patina well and become less noticeable with time? Would you buy it again? View attachment 4369874
I actually just started using mine and I’ve been carrying it everyday for a few weeks now. It’s actually held up well except for the scratch that I did myself. One thing to note is that since the bag tapers at the top, it doesn’t hold as much as it looks like it does. So if your wife carries a lot, this may not be an everyday bag! I had trouble getting my wallet, sunglasses and small makeup case in it. It’s a gorgeous bag though!Hey thanks for getting back to me! It's good to hear, do you wear yours often? I was thinking a work back for the wife. I'm going to see it soon in person and see what the leather is like. Have you had yours long? The scratch looks like it would buff out
Do you mean when worn on the shoulder or just dangling off the bag? I asked about long term care and was given the impression that any problems just to take it back and I'll be looked after. Have you tried taking it back or informing them? Maybe a defect with the clasp?^ I agree that the hardware is kind of flimsy. Mine is detaching from the insides where the straps are hooked.
To be fair it's a bit of effort!I'm probably to blame for packing it full and carrying it crossbody on my last trip. I'm unfamiliar with their repair policy. I don't want to ship it to the UK fom Chicago for it. I just carry it by the top handle now.
Yeah after using mine for a bit, the hardware has definitely loosened up a bit, but not in a bad way. The leather on the handle is a bit softer now and the bar that goes across the handle is more worn in. It just feels less stiff than when I first started using the bag. I’m not worried about it falling apart though. The scratch, however, is definitely not going to buff out.I'm probably to blame for packing it full and carrying it crossbody on my last trip. You could try some Tarrago Shoe Cream in a matching color for the scratch. But I don't think it looks that bad!Yeah after using mine for a bit, the hardware has definitely loosened up a bit, but not in a bad way.
