I wouldn’t make a practice of purchasing gifts for family that they may not want, but whether that one time return will really affect your relationship with your SA probably depends on a lot of other factors. If you are that concerned about profile, then simply spend the credit immediately. I don’t really think a one time occurrence is a big deal

When I buy a gift for someone, and I am not familiar with their taste, I make sure that my SA provides a gift receipt with his contact info so the recipient can contact him to chose his or her own substitute item. I don’t really get involved. To date, as far as my SA or I am aware, no one has returned anything

Hello ladies, I have a question and can’t find an answer in the whole forum… Hope this is the right thread to share! I returned an item to my local H boutique, and got a paper with the store credit. This was a month ago.
I’ve been searching for the paper, and I can’t find it ! So I’m worried because it was a couple of thousands of euros. My question is, can anybody use my store credit if they find the paper? (I’m not sure if I lost it in the street, which makes me really anxious). And 2, can I still use my store credit even if I don’t have the paper?

My experience is that H will ask for ID ( had a store credit in US & was asked for my ID)
Hope you find your credit & can you remember if you were actually handed it?
I'm not sure what the protocol is to report a missing store credit with H in Europe,
my understanding is the credit is in H system under your name
Can you reach out to your SA to see what the suggestion might be?

The credit should be in your account, and you don't need a receipt, just ID. At least that is how it works in US and Europe.

I think the commission will be deducted from the 1st SA payroll when items being returned. It’s just the refund method was a store credit vs actual refund back to the original payment method.

This is True. There was one time when I met my SA and let's say she was a little low in energy. I asked her what happened and she shared that she spent a lot of time with a customer for almost 4 hrs explaining and showing watches and the customer bought a watch. She was so happy that she made the sale. Sadly, a few days later the customer returned the watch.

From my conversation with her... for returns: she would not get the commission and none added to sales target as it is considered that the sale was not even made in the first place. "All the 4hrs wasted..." that's what she said. She was all gloomy that day 😔.
