Store credit

TPF may earn a commission from merchant affiliate
links, including eBay, Amazon, and others

I am exactly just like you and this has for sure been a lesson learned when it comes to store credit only policies! I am taking note of all these suggestions and hopefully I’ll find what works best!
The best thing I can think is to purchase an easily re-sold item with your credit and then sell the item.

If you must give it away, you can turn it into a gift card. Then courier the gift card or give it to someone in person or sell it. Much easier than having Hermes do this for you and there are liability issues which I’m sure the store would not want to endure.

Great suggestion, I’ll look into this. Thank you!
There are many who still look for this bag so it may be a good idea to go in that direction..
Good luck
Thank you so much!

Hello, does anyone know if I can use store credit in another store (different from store that issued the credit)?

My store is very low on inventory so I cannot spend my credit there.

Thanks so much!!

I had a store credit for slg I returned and I was told I couldn’t use it on bags but could use for anything else. May just be our location but try fo check if you can actually use it for the picotin or evelyne. HTH

Yes, the second SA will get the commission. But if this question is a follow up to your other post today then you should know that the return on your account will negatively impact your profile far more than the spending of the store credit with your SA will help it, especially now that the SM has been brought into the scheme and knows what you are trying to do. They also have restrictions on what the store credit can be used for, typically cannot be applied to leather goods etc. All in all, especially if you like the items you initially bought, the 1-3% commission your new SA would theoretically get isn’t worth the hassle and bad reputation, imo.

Thanks for the explanation. I don’t mind that it negatively impacts me as long as the SA helping me gets her commission. I’m only there to purchase what I want, but it does matter to me that the SA who provides genuine service gets paid for her time.
