yes, mine is Thomas Curtis. It was new when I bought it but he has since died. The wear on it looks worse in the photo than IRL

Fantastic! [emoji122]He was a master, for sure. I just bought a TC skinny bracelet and another one I'll stack with it by his daughter Jennifer (who is a master herself). Will post them soon. (Months back in this thread I posted a Jennifer big cuff.)

yes, I have a couple of Jennifer's pieces too. I was fortunate to get these for a good price a few years ago. Would love to see your Jennifer bracelets.

OK, to join my fellow Wonder Women: My power cuff, by master Navajo silversmith Jennifer Curtis, daughter of another famous master, Thomas Curtis. Very strong repousse. Jennifer makes her own stamps from scratch, as opposed to buying those tools, as her father also did.

When I need to feel the most powerful, I add my Cody Sanderson (Navajo) silver double star ring. Together, they make me nearly invincible. :p

Both the cuff and the ring are 2 1/8" height.
stunning! Did you get these in AZ? I got my Curtis items in Prescott

Thank you! Prescott is a fab place for jewelry, for sure. I've done some damage there.

The big Jennifer C cuff was from Santa Fe (Bahti Indian Arts), and the Cody ring from Pittsburgh (Four Winds Gallery, a fave). Waiting for a nongloomy day for photos.

cdtracing, you'd suggested I post some pics so here's one of my fave Navajo silver bracelets

OMG SDKitty! When I bought my Thomas bracelet the other day, the dealer gave me a photocopy of an Arizona Highways magazine article on him. Check out the main photo! May 2003 issue, page 32. Article continues on p. 33. You should get a hold of this magazine for your paperwork on the piece!

that's my guy - Jeff, right? :)

My guy too!:p I think I remember that Jeff's a fifth-generation trader for Fred Harvey. That place is a dream, isn't it?
yes, great store
I've gotten some very nice things there, mostly for very good prices
I feel I do better with Jeff though and last time I was in there he was busy and I had to deal with someone else....didn't make out as well
Please post your other Jennifer pieces. I have a two tone skinny bracelet made by her and a small turquoise row bracelet

I will post tomorrow when the lighting should be better.

I've only worked with Jeff...very impressed with his fairness in pricing and also in trade values. (Apparently the historic cowboy material he sells is also top notch, per a friend of mine who knows that stuff.)
Would love to see your Jennifer pieces too.

yes, I know he has a lot of other interesting stuff besides jewelry
Best case scenario is to find him there when it's not busy and he's in a good mood. My last trip - just a couple of weeks ago - it was a Saturday and the store was very busy - lots of local friends. I wasn't really looking for anything significant. I have more than enough. So I picked up a couple of pairs of earrings. I wanted to deal with Jeff but wasn't able to this time. If it was a more expensive item, I'd be sure to deal with him. Look forward to seeing your JC pieces.

Two new narrow Navajo bracelets by the famed Curtis family, Thomas and Jennifer. Thomas's is sterling silver with oxidized areas and a sculptural profile (almost Art Deco looking), Jennifer's is silver and 14K gold with stamping on the outer edges. A wrist shot to show the scale. Hope this isn't too much of a photo bomb!:amuse:

Very nice bracelets Jelly! My JC bracelet is similar to yours. What a small world. I wouldn't have thought I'd find another PF member who shopped in the same store in Prescott that I do. :)
