That's stunning, I've never seen it before. The detailing is amazing.

I love JA pieces, especially their Butterfly and Mariposa designs.

Me too! I wear the mariposa art glass charm on a chain around my neck. http://www.jamesavery.com/product/M...ink-Blossom-Charm/156603.uts?keyword=mariposa

I've been wanting the mariposa earrings for a long time: http://www.jamesavery.com/product/Mariposa-Ear-Hooks/156849.uts?keyword=mariposa

Unfortunately I think they're phasing out a lot of the mariposa designs.

Pretty charm!

Glad I bought the ring, earrings and bracelet a while ago, the Mariposa is such a pretty design. They still have about a dozen or so styles on the website including the basic butterfly designs but it looks like the hook-on bracelet's been discontinued.

Alas. I'd love to get the hook-on bracelet, but the only place I've spotted them are ebay where the prices are super jacked-up for a banged up bracelet that's seen the war. JA seems to discontinue lovely classic designs so frequently and quickly. I wonder what the rational is.

I've no idea. The styles are still hugely popular, and vintage JA pieces bring a lot on Ebay. I wonder if JA ever buys older pieces and reconditions them to sell? If they don't they should. An "estate" counter or section in their stores or on their website would probably do very well. I've never been in one of the B&M stores, so maybe they actually do that?

My Mariposa hook-on bracelet was probably bought about 4 years ago right from the website, and my first piece was bought at least 30 years ago - gold, not silver, and I still have it and wear it, and am still looking for the same style in silver! I came close a few weeks ago on Ebay but a last-minute bidding rush knocked me out of contention. :crybaby:
