I'd go for the SS one for your first after what you said about what you like to wear. Mine is the 36 with jubilee face and diamond markers. My next will be two tone with mop face with diamond bezel and markers. But I'm glad I went with the all white first. Either way they are all gorgeous! Have fun deciding!!!

Thank you summergirl1 this is such a difficult decision. There are so many gorgeous variations in Datejusts and I want to make the right choice. The photos and posts in this forum have been great to scroll through for info x

Contrary to summergirl1, I went for the 26mm two tone diamond markers with white MOP first and was so glad I did that 10 years ago when the prices didn't sky rocket yet. I just added a 31mm SS/WG with Roman numeral this year and the price of both is the same.

Two tone first then SS, by then you can decide if you want the sportier version, larger size, 34 or 36mm.

Steel and white gold gets my vote. Two tones are lovely but where I live it's worn by older folk. The steel and white gold looks fresh. I'd also go with a plain face and not MOP. Personally I find that the MOP makes it harder to see the numbers. And definitely the diamond markers. Both of mine have Romans and I'm now wanting one with diamond!

The Roman numeral mop ss is £6650 and with diamond six is £7800. It's a big difference for the diamonds but it would be my only Rolex....

I was in a similar situation recently. I was picking my one & only Rolex & I was having trouble choosing between normal stick markers (cheaper) or diamond markers (obviously more expensive). Ultimately, I didn't want to spend loads of money & still be thinking about another watch. The diamond markers made my heart sing so I went with that one. Yes it's more money, but I'd rather spend the money & be happy, than spend a lot of money & think "what if"

That is very interesting. Thank you so much for the link! I'm drawn more to the ss now. I knew I'd have to consider this over a couple of months because once you start looking at these watches you get drawn to all different styles x

Go with the two-tone. It's beautiful. (In the interest of full disclosure, I'm biased against white gold. I hate it with the fire of a thousand suns. It's an alloy that will dull and turn slightly yellowish over time and will need to be re-plated to keep its bright, white, shiny luster. It's a poor man's platinum, basically. I have few words of wisdom, but among them is my advice to young women: Spend your money on classic handbags rather than ephemeral trends, and if you can't afford platinum, buy yellow gold. It's pretty, and "white gold" is the devil.)
