Steel and white gold or two tone?

Mine are SS+WG so I'm a bit biased, but I prefer the SS on you. I like the YG but not with diamond markers - I almost feel like it does the diamonds no favors. WG is classic and your go-to color. Def go with the one which is more "you" - you can always play around with other jewelry in YG without committing to it everyday in your watch.

Both are beautiful and it's really what your taste dictates--although the two-tone is more $$. I like the steel and white gold personally. Can't tell what the dial is on the two-tone, but of course you could get MOP on a two-tone watch.

Can you believe that of the two watches OP has posted the side by side photo of, the stainless and white gold cost the most $$. It's retail price is $11,900 due to the MOP dial.
The two tone in the photo with the silver dial has a retail of $11,650.
Now if she were to get the MOP dial on the two tone, the price on it would jump up to $14,150 and would then cost the most.
Such an exciting dilemma OP has and I can't wait to see what she chooses. I love the DateJust so much!

!
Right. I was thinking of an apples to apples comparison in which 2 tone is the only difference. For same dial it's always more $$.

I have the exact same watch as the one on the left except my MOP is white. The extra cost for MOP shocked me initially as well since my understanding is that it's nice but not crazy expensive material. One of the sales associate I talked to said that the reason the MOP cost so much more with Rolex is how frequently these delicate materials break when in production, so to make a ~perfect~ MOP dials, it usually takes a few tries!

Also not to add to the complexity of your decision but just something that I discovered while I was shopping for mine - the pink MOP usually tent to look more "flat" and doesn't provide as much "texture" as the white or Tahitian MOPs. Because of this, they don't catch the light as much as the other two. This is probably the reason why pink MOP aren't as popular as the other two. But it's really a matter of personal preference

I've just been looking at the pink mop with Roman numeral now! When I started looking for a Rolex I thought wanted a two tone Roman numeral mop. Then went to ss diamond dot pink mop with the help of this thread. Now I've gone back to Roman numeral but ss on pink mop .........then........reading fishnumber2's post wonder if the white mop would be better. This is why I'm not buying on impulse! It's too big a purchase for me to do that! Best two to compare would be ss Roman numeral white mop and same in pink mop. Off to check pics of Roman numeral mops now x
I was told about the fragility of mother of pearl influencing the cost too.......

Just seen the Roman numeral mop with the six in diamonds.......any thoughts on this?

I'm trying to choose between the two Lady Datejust watches pictured. Both 31 size. Do you prefer the watch on the right or the left? I usually wear silver jewellery so the pink mother of pearl is more my usual style but the two tone is so stunning! Im having trouble deciding. Any opinions much appreciated thank you. Really want a watch that I can wear daily, not just for dress wear xView attachment 3646884
Can you buy both of these? Problem solved. Rolexes are like potatoes chips you can't have just one.

Well the final choice is between two mops........both in 31mm with jubilee bracelet, fluted bezel and Roman numeral markers. The first is the two tone and the second is the ss with pave diamond six. I love how classy the two tone is but I also love the diamond six on the ss, makes it a little more unusual. I guess the ss is more 'me' and the two tone is how I'd like to be lol.

Yes, somehow the pink MOP doesn't catch as much light and it's not as nice. I wouldn't pay the extra for pink MOP.

I don't think there's a white MOP on the SS/WG Roman numeral combination, only with diamond markers. Roman numeral MOP with diamonds on six is beautiful. But with that amount, I would rather go for two tone, Roman numeral with MOP.

The Roman numeral mop ss is £6650 and with diamond six is £7800. It's a big difference for the diamonds but it would be my only Rolex....
