and, me again:

What about a good watch?

my husband gifted me this one (and it's under 1.000 Euros AND from an iconic brand)

He bought it for you. It’s a good watch by that gesture and meaning of his gift.

Don’t need to care what others think. Don’t need to move up the watch world where top ‘status’ watches can cost an entire mansion in a lot of first world countries.

Hi everyone!
I'm starting this thread because I would like to know your opinion - I want like to create a small luxury jewellery collection that is quite versatile, and a kind of a statement status, but affordable
I do not have a budget for Alhambra, Messika or Cartier yet, but still would like to get something iconic and recognisable.
My only one idea is Hermes Clic H bracelet - I can find it on VC for a good price and it looks very chic...
I also have Chanel CC earrings for evening, but have to repair them every 3 month, they just break and loose all the crystals...

Are there some other pieces that you can recommend me, that look expensive, but do not cost over 1000 EUR?
Earrings, necklaces, rings?

Thank you in advance !

I stick to old school.

My late grandma who survived WW2 always said yellow gold was her currency during war. Hence, whole family favours yellow gold. Doesn’t matter if it comes from a local jeweller or a brand - 18k gold is 18k gold and pawnshops can accept it in a financial emergency.

If you don’t have a budget to buy top tiers, stick to simple gold or Pearl jewellery. That’s what I did in the past when my budget didn’t allow for luxury jewellery.

When I couldn’t afford those jewellery in the past, I opted for plain small pearl (with good lustre) earrings with a nice bracelet or a string of pearls. Those will cost less and a good jeweller can also redesign a clasp to make it look classier.

No one is going to ask you to remove a piece to show them the brand on a piece of jewellery. Understated often looks more elegant even though it is cheaper.

“Status” - means hitting the likes of Mikimoto, Bvlgari, Van Cleef & Arpels, T&Co top line of fine jewelry.

Costume jewelry , even from fashion houses, never ever screams status to me. At most, I buy sterling silver with very nice designs.
