Sorry, maybe a stupid question but how did they come in your basket if there is no stock. Is it a fancy trick?

Usually its because stock was available at the time to add to basket, however if you delay checking out or have an issue with payment, during that time someone else can purchase the item, as theoretically the item is still available to purchase.

The item will show in your basket (save my shopping basket), but will be greyed out due to no stock. Once stock is back in, your basket will show the item not greyed and and you can proceed to check out.
