hey everyone
here's my update-i hadn't heard anything for 2 weeks so i emailed my SA in SF and then he said paris sees it just as normal wear and tear. the straps itself are intact but it's the glazing (sealant?) that's affected. however, that will not affect the integrity of the straps itself. perhaps color has something to do with it but i didn't ask as mine is bright blue and some members have suggested the blacks don't seem to have this problem as often
sorry for the late replyLululo, so are they just giving you the bag without fixing the sealant? or can you request them to fix the sealant (or replace the strap altogether) with a charge? Did they tell you how much would that be?
I'm not an expert but I did have a Goyard St Louis. The handles started peeling immediately after I got it. Then the thread on one of the handles came loose. I had to send it back to Barney's for repair. I was made to feel it was my fault, that I treated the bag roughly, when in fact I baby my bags. I ended up selling it and getting an LV Neverfull. I love the look of the Goyard and would love to have one in every color, but I am not forking over all that money for a bag that falls apart within days after you get it.Hi experts in Goyard,
I would like to ask if the cracking handles only happen to Goyard St. Louis or to all goyard bags?
I have two st Louis, and one of the handles start to crack after i used it for a week, and the other one stitches on the handles are coming off after 6 months.
I am thinking of ordering a Sac Hardy in the next one to two weeks, but I want to ask you experts on whether the cracking handles is a problem only for the St. Louis, or a problem for all bags?
Would appreciate your kind feedback in helping me decide whether I should order the Sac Hardy!!
