I think I've got through the sale without buying anything, had a Bays in my basket at one point & then put it back.
At the start of the thread I said I'd like to cut down my nuts(!) & I've made zero headway on that, but feel like *not buying another one* is progess of sorts.

I echo what Kendie has said, Bravissima my fellow Squirrel!I remember how this time of year, ie. the SALES!!! was so anticipated and magical in a manic sort of way, and so very hard to resist (and that was long before we had all the various online easy peasy options for Cache Enhancement.) It's beyond easy to get swept up in it.
Squirrel: " I'll just gather this one last, one very last highly polished and most desirable nut (like the Bays, yikers mccrikers, Shaz my dear!) into my cache, then! Ah, just look at the discount in the sale, I saved so much!" So rapid the evolution of our desire into need. You are to be commended hugely on your restraint

It's bitterly cold around here, too. So, good squirrel that I am I had to get more nuts into my storage. Not a Mulberry nut though, but a French nut from Longchamp. The more nuts the happier the squirrel. Stay warm everybody!
