Hi Moonfanciful! You are spot on! I was just writing in another post how happy I was that after wearing Taupe non-stop before her sisters arrived and she had no signs of wear after inspection. It is so wonderful! I tend to fall quite in love and it they show wear right away it makes me sad. No sadness now! Just happy! Thanks for your compliment!

Lovie I really love the hardware you selected with black beauty. I am not fond of gold hardware in general but the soft gold is such a sophisticated look. I really do like the soft gold hardware with a lot of the leather choices. This black pebbled leather is gorgeous. I love love your new bag. Enjoy using it.

Thanks djfmn...........you can blame Chanel for that, LOL! I used to be a strict silver hardware person. My first Chanel Mini Flap changed me forever, it is so gorgeous and such a classic look. I discovered if it is excellent quality high end hardware, I now LOVE gold. I am super picky about it, there are many premier designers that I have not liked.......Givenchy I liked at first but then my gold hardware got this cloudy film over it that did not come off......same with Marc Jacobs. So far, my Chloe has been really great and stayed great. Massaccesi's is beautiful and so elegant, I am very happy and quite in love with it.

Yes, I think I should get all-olive Aphrodite (and some small pouches all well for sure). I love that All Saints jacket (enough to have it in taupe as well, hehe) and I think olive will work with them both. Will order it tomorrow as I think I made up my mind!

I have a couple of questions that I hope some of you can help answer. Will the Minerva (full size) be able to contain a small laptop 12" x 8"? I would really like a grey bag and considering the Pearl Grey. Has anyone seen the Pearl Grey leather? Is it a suitable color for winter? Thanks so much for your help!

Dmarie welcome we are pleased you have joined our group and thread on Massaccesi bags. I do not have a Minerva I have an Aphrodite in pearl gray with black handles. It is definitely a suitable color for winter having said that I think it is a versatile enough gray to use in summer as well in fact all year round.

I ordered a Minnie Selene and 2 Phoebes about 2 weeks ago and the tracking shows they are out of delivery today. I know that there has been some shipping issues with the other carrier but I ordered the first bag or one of the first bags the gray Aphrodite and I got in 2 weeks. The second bag I ordered a Divina which I returned as it was too big for me the same thing I placed the order and 2 weeks later I got it. The 3rd order which was a purple Aphrodite got lost in customs and shipping and took about a month. Massaccesi spoke to the shipping company and decided to change to DHL. My fourth order is out for delivery today. On average it has taken about 2 to 3 weeks in total from order placement to arrival at my house.
Having said that this is a difficult time of year for packages with all the Christmas packages being shipped. I am going to order a minnie Minerva and I think I will wait until the new year to do it.

I was asked this question when there was a "What's Inside YOUR Beautiful Massaccesi thread". At the time of that post, I wrote that although my laptop did fit, I would probably not carry my laptop in my bag like this one and that maybe someone else could chime in on their experiences. I would prefer one of the other designs that have double shoulder straps to help distribute the weight. The Selene or soon-to-be released Midi Divina would be a better match in my opinion. I hope that helps!

My BE bags were purchased several years ago when she was just getting started and the styles I have are no longer available, although still wonderful.

I so want one of these after all of your wonderful pictures and descriptions, but need the right bag for my purpose.

Dmarie, I have a Minerva and carry an iPad in it but even though I have a smaller laptop than I used to carry, I wouldn't put it in this bag. I think a Selene might work better but from the looks of it it is really unstructured so I'd worry a bit about the base being strong enough and the strain it might put on the handles. I was considering a Divina but it is quite big - a midi Divina might work? Have you looked at the dimensions of that style?

My opinion is that the soon-to-be revealed Midi Divina would be a better match for your laptop needs. I would even email and ask them like we do what they suggest.


The Selene would be ok, but like VanBod wrote, it is a wide open interior, so unless you have other items like files (or a sweater like I did today, lol) it may flop about a bit. The Midi Divina may have that exterior pocket like it's original version so that may help give it support.

I am really loving the Amaranto colored leather (would love a Minerva in this color if only it would carry a laptop) although the Burgundi and Purple (Aphrodite) are beautiful too. I've been searching to find a reference thread for pictures of the bags (colors & styles), but there doesn't seem to be one, but I could be missing it.

It looked liked Lenie was supposed to receive a Minerva in Amaranto, but I could not find any actual pictures.

While I think I am narrowing in the colors, the style selection is getting harder and I want them all! Thanks again for your thoughts and input! And thanks for the warm welcome to the Massaccesi world!
