Lovie I really love the hardware you selected with black beauty. I am not fond of gold hardware in general but the soft gold is such a sophisticated look. I really do like the soft gold hardware with a lot of the leather choices. This black pebbled leather is gorgeous. I love love your new bag. Enjoy using it.
Juliemvis this will be one stunning minnie Divina. I am interested to see what the minnie is like as I gave Marco a lot of input in what I thought would work in the minnie version. I had the full size Divina and decided it was too big for me so I returned it. I told him that I thought I would prefer a minnie version of the bag with some changes. I am curious to see if some of the changes I recommended have been incorporated into the design.
Navy and silver are a stunning combination.

I was told the size of the minnie Divina and I told him it was still too big. I think it was about 15% to 16% smaller and I said it should be 20% smaller. I also said the bottom was too structured that it was too boxy to carry. I suggested that they soften the structure of the bottom of the bag and use a softer leather structure. I am not a bag maker so I am not sure what could be changed based on what I suggested or what made sense to them in the design of the minnie version. When I carried the original Divina it was too boxy for me so that is why I made the suggestions I did.

I agree that is should be 30% smaller. From what I am learning it is much more difficult to make a smaller bag. Smaller bags are labor intensive in comparison to larger bags. Larger bags take more material/leather but are easier and less labor intensive to make.
I think that is the issue they deal with in making a smaller bag.
Even though I am a Goldie Girl through and through, I have to say navy with silver is going to be a knock-out bag. Congratulations, Juliemvis!

Thank you very much djfmn. I think that you would prefer the Minnie Minerva. The regular size Minerva and Selene are really working perfectly for me and my work week, I just LOVE them, but knowing your preference for small to mid size bags, I think the Midi sizes would suit you more. That said, they are really beginning to puddle and get smooshy; the Selene was that way from day 1, I think this is because she has an open center.

Hee, hi odebs, thx! They have become my go-to-bags! My goal was to buy some true neutrals that would work with everything I wear during my work week and I have found that with this trio! Along with Tealy Selene of course. It is so fun to rotate each day now, before poor Taupe was really getting a work out... I am happy to report that she is no worse for the wear. I inspect my bags frequently and she still looks fabulous. These pebbled leathers Marco finds are so incredible. It boggles the mind how they can be so soft and yet so strong.

On the side, it is a seam. I can see how you might have thought it a pocket in the picture. I am glad it is not a pocket, the seam and pleat are such a nice design element, I LOVE when I catch a glimpse of it, it is so unique and flattering on the side. It was a good question, I am glad you asked!
