Thank you very much! Can you return for a full refund if you order from the website in your country? If so you could always give it a go and order th try on? CW16 is really really pretty and it does look very different from the lighter CW

Yes I can always do returns, but I have neurotic problem about returning things... I never seem to. They just sit there mocking me. Not just clothes, it started in university. I'm old enough that I had to go through the card catalogues and pull out real hard cover books from the stacks. Never got them returned on time. They wouldn't let me graduate until my paid overdue fines (about $1000). Dad was upset but Mom coudn't say anything because she did the exact same thing when she was in unversity and had to pay her overdue fines to graduate.

Anyway, CW16 isn't up on the Canadian website. I'd have to text my SA. I go through moods where yes I want that! And then not having energy to do anything because I'm so bummed about Covoid and what happened in the Capitol (my parents are American, I was born there and we moved to Canada when I was a child because of my Dad's work and we ended up staying permanently). Lots of family in the US.

And its been about 2 months of lockdown where I live and no sign its letting up soon, as the Covoid numbers keep rising. Hospitals are saying they are at capacity for ICU beds and its looks like it going to get worse before its get better. Vaccines are being rolled out but slowly.

Sorry for the digression. I know everyone is going through this and that I'm relatively lucky.

Again thanks to all for the lovely pictures and the moment of respite they provide.

Absolutely stnning, dear bunnycat. This would tempt me if I didn't have one of the first editions.

Thank you Maedi! I missed out on the first round, so thrilled I got to finally get one.

i love this CW. Is this the wash or the regular twill?

Regular twill moma. I figure I will either end up washing it myself, or it will lose it's sizing (unless I spray and iron some more) so it will end up there anyway....

Such a dramatic colourway - looks great on you. Curious about the vest you are we weaving. I hope you will post some pics of it when its finished! You are so creative!

Thank you Canuck! :hugs: I am weaving yardage for a vest that is in one of my Saori weaving books. Since H scarves take up my neck most of the time, I've been trying to find other ways to incorporate hand wovens (though I do like to weave scarves too!). But I also am really gun-shy about cutting in to hand woven fabric, so never really have before. In Saori style weaving, in addition to the "no rules" approach of the actual weaving, there is also minimal or no cutting of the fabric, and a lot of the items are made through folding and draping (almost like origami on the body).

You are too hard on yourself! Hope you pull out your favorite scarf and wear it today to cheer you all day long! Hang in there, the vaccines are coming and hopefully we will return to life as we knew it pre-covid!❤️

I got five new 90x90 SS21 scarves today and I'm over the moon!
I don't know if anyone else feels the same, but whenever I see a new season's scarves in the store, I get even more excited than scoring a quota bag (well...almost...haha!) Those vibrant colors and work of art are simply irresistible!
Pics or it didn't happen :). Congrats!

:flowers: I understand how you feel,
pretty things and scarf bonhomie provide comfort and a welcome distraction right now. I am in London and find this (3rd) lockdown so much harder than the previous two. Things are not good here, with the number of cases creeping higher and no obvious end to this (despite g. I think this adds to the oppressive feeling. I am not complaining as we are lucky, comfortable, continue to be busy with work, etc but it is just feels so bleak, monotonous and so hard to motivate yourself.

PS. Haha ! I also got summons from university threatening to not ratify my award ;) (my fine wasn’t as big as yours though) and stopped using public libraries because I could never return things on time
PPS. Look at the positives - the swift action US law makers took to defend democracy following last week’s riot. As much as it saddens me, I genuinely cannot imagine a similar reaction in my birth country (not the UK)
