I also loved the concept of the Junot and I agree that it's disco-like with the tassel and smaller boxy size (which is a good thing, since my disco is one of my most-used bags). I would have bought the junot in a heartbeat if it didn't have contrast stitching.

For me, the contrast stitching only really works on the Cherry empreinte because that's a classic combination and the black stitches aren't as jarring a contrast as khaki/pink. (black/beige was so close but is still off). The contrast empreinte is better on SLGs.

Hmmm. I actually like the contrast stitching in black and white. I tried it on last night. I also loved the retiro with the blue, but find it hard to work with my wardrobe. The other bags.....they can have them. Wasn't impressed.

I feel like over the last couple of years, with the transition to N.G, Louis Vuitton has switched from this classic, luxury fashion house to factory settings. They are just pumping out new bags every single month and discontinuing gorgeous classic styles. It really disappoints me because I literally ONLY own LV. I'm obsessed but i just do not agree with the way things have gone down hill. It seems they are trying to become mainstream like Coach and its so sad to see. The quality has gone down as they try and push the limits. I also feel like they've had this far-out, cheap look to a lot of the new bags.. it reminds me of Hello Kitty for some reason.

Now here's a bag that I think I would really be interested in, but they ruined it for me by putting the monogram on the flap. The opening would look better if it were the LV like on the twist, but with the flap solid color like the rest of the bag. The strap even looks perfect. Oh well. Others will love it.

You know what's crazy? Even though I'm a ride or die LV girl, I have to say that Coach is actually making some really nice stuff right now. I recently purchased the men's bleecker backpack--it's absolutely gorgeous and incredible quality for its price point (under $700 for a large, all-leather backpack is a steal, imho). But I digress...back to LV, I do share your concerns that some of the recent designs seem to be pushing the boundary of good taste.

out on these also:yucky: Would look so much more elegant without the monogram on the flap. And again, make the LV twist opening. The name is ridiculous, hopefully that's not the decided name.
