syma - as usual, the pix don't really capture the colors. tea, saffron coco lave, copper and rame aka copper armatura are related but don't look so similar IRL. i am still waiting though for the lovely bits of jewelry to show up so i can lust properly.

Thank you again, doloresmia, for all the great photos you posted! It's so helpful (not to mention enjoyable) to see the bags on someone.

What bits of jewelry are you lusting after? Inquiring minds want to know.

Do you mean there is a baby Montaigne (?!?!?!) - or just that the normal Montaigne is relatively speaking, kind of small (which it is...)?

I'm interested in your thoughts on the Burnt Orange and Mela - it sounds like they are both nice and bright (which I love). Would you say they are on the lighter side of things (in terms of getting dirty)? From the pictures I have seen I think the Burnt Orange is "darker" than the Mela - which seems to be quite a light colour overall... is that accurate.

I so want to see these two colours... I am quite drawn to both and seriously considering a SO Montaigne in Mela but I am obviously not going to do that without seeing it IRL first! I know - I need to just by myself a small accessory in both to test them out!!

I didn't pick up the montaigne, but from several feet away it did look smaller than the "normal" size.

The burnt orange is bright, but IMO the mela is mouth-wateringly bright. Mela is almost flourescent and reminds me of the black light poster paints we used in the late 1960's.

To be honest, I think both burnt orange and mela would be on the "lighter side," though nowhere near as light as some other BV colors we've seen (chalk, magnolia, etc). I'd say they are on a par with glacier in terms of "worrying about stains" if that helps any.

They sold the small cobalt cabat the minute it arrived last week, but had the medium and the large cobalt cabats. Gorgeous. They also had a ton of burnt orange in bags, and a bit of mela in accessories. The large campana will NOT be in resort colors, sadly, but will be in tea and a few other colors.

Does this mean Hawaii is no longer the only place in the US that sells mini/small cabats?

I don't know if there is both a "mini cabat" and a "small cabat", but San Francisco definitely carries the small cabats (as well as the medium and the large).

Thanks for the information! I do remember those poster paints... and the fact that Mela is reminiscent of them is not necessarily a bad thing for me.

I wish the spring catalog was out already online. There are so many great sales and I'm passing on some things so I can splurge on BV in a few months. Must resist.... must hold out... The beautiful pictures of MNS's copper veneta are helping me be patient though. Also, there were some wonderful images of BV spring in January vogue.
