l was in BV in BH today. they were switching from FW to resort so not a lot of stuff. i did see the armatura copper veneta - i have to say it was a bit weird. the leather felt/looked like cloth. it had striations in it. never having seen armatura last year, i am sure it is the same thing, but it does not have the same look or feel as an ottone or ossidato.

i saw the saffron coco lave cabat. it is lighter IRL than the pictures.

the tea pr maybe copper? venetas were gorgeous and edible. a richer redder brown than noce.

Doloresmia, the leather is indeed different but it does soften up nicely after a few wears. I have the Armatura Veneta from Hawaii which draped very well after about 5 wears. It takes just a little longer to break in, but I really like the end result. I also got the Copper Veneta today and its leather feels exactly the same new as it did with the Armatura. I'll post pics soon. :smile1:

I was in the San Francisco BV today and saw much of the resort collection, including an adorable small Montaine in the burnt orange color. Great pop of color.

They sold the small cobalt cabat the minute it arrived last week, but had the medium and the large cobalt cabats. Gorgeous. They also had a ton of burnt orange in bags, and a bit of mela in accessories. The large campana will NOT be in resort colors, sadly, but will be in tea and a few other colors.

A new green color I haven't seen discussed here in the forum is absinthe, a muted version of regent with some taupe. I liked it a lot; a very neutral green. They had a Pyramid in this color. Saffron is also beautiful - a muh more muted orange than the burnt orange.

I'm sorry to say tea is too reddish for me, but it's a gorgeous color. I'm sticking with ebano as my "BV brown" for now.

They had received six large venetas in copper and were already down to one! It's stunning in person, and I personally like the embossed/grosgrain effect on the leather.

I picked up a double knot bracelet in cobalt for myself.

Cheers!

Do you mean there is a baby Montaigne (?!?!?!) - or just that the normal Montaigne is relatively speaking, kind of small (which it is...)?

I'm interested in your thoughts on the Burnt Orange and Mela - it sounds like they are both nice and bright (which I love). Would you say they are on the lighter side of things (in terms of getting dirty)? From the pictures I have seen I think the Burnt Orange is "darker" than the Mela - which seems to be quite a light colour overall... is that accurate.

I so want to see these two colours... I am quite drawn to both and seriously considering a SO Montaigne in Mela but I am obviously not going to do that without seeing it IRL first! I know - I need to just by myself a small accessory in both to test them out!!

I thought the copper veneta's were made of satin too  but then the SA told me that they were leather with a fine sheet of copper lasered onto them. I thought it was ingenious!!! BTW can anyone PLEASE confirm that the copper cabat and the tea cabat with the gold edging are one and the same bag??? Or is there a copper cabat coming for SS09 which is like the copper venetas :confused1::confused1:

As far as I know they are two different bags. The tea cabat haas the gold edge. There is a copper cabat and a saffron coco lave for SS09.

Does this mean Hawaii is no longer the only place in the US that sells mini/small cabats?

hey bookermoose, i did not see any mela on my last trip to BH BV, but they had plenty of orange. it was much more fluorescent IRL to me.... perhaps others can give you another opinion. i was surprised because the color looked different than i thought it would
