^^^actually. . . I have taken my Batignolles out in the sprinkles. . . it showed up and then went away.
Then, true story, my DD spilled her ENTIRE cup of lemonade on/in this same LV!!!
I FLIPPED out, we were at the car dealership waiting on an oil change and people were looking at me like I had lost my mind! The Batig was only about 2 weeks old so I was freaking for good reason!
I swabbed the ENTIRE bag w/ a baby wipe, including the naked vachetta straps and it's still in pristine condition.
I SWEAR! I'm willing to post photos!

Yikes, good thing you had the baby wipe handy. I would have flipped out too :D .

I'm not too familiar with baby wipes since I don't have any children yet, so I was wondering: Is there a particular type/brand that works well for bags, or are they all the same? And I'm assuming you just wipe down the bags gently?? (I've also heard it works well to clean white leather bags)

I'd like to know too cause some baby wipes have lotion forumla on it or alcohol or something and I don't know what can damage the leather.

I only use Huggies Supreme Unscented on my babies bottoms and on my handbags! . . . there's none of the nasty ingredients - that end in ene in it. I use the wipes on my LV canvas, Burberry bags and dang near everything else, including tile floors and SUV dash!

Thanks! I might buy some just to have it for emergencies.

I use baby wipes for everything too.
I think it's a secret that most mom's keep because had I known long ago that these things take out virtually ANY type of stain, I'd have been toting them in my purse long before my son was born.

Here's a great picture that shows how well Wilson's can work to protect vachetta from rain. I was cleaning and spraying some bags yesterday. I forgot to spray my speedy strap so I took it outside onto the deck for a quick spray. It's been pouring rain since last night, I took this picture this morning. You can see where the strap was laying on the wood and just how well a quick spray of Wilson's has kept the rain from penetrating. I tried to get a close up picture to show the water beads but it came out too fuzzy to post. The white area is the beaded water. Anyhow, check this out!

whoa that's scary! your poor DD is scarred for life too! lol :laugh:

I've used shining monkey, it works really well. Unfortunately I somehow lost it, so I sprayed my new cabas with apple garde (I stocked up on AG when they had a sale awhile back hehe). Both work great, but shining monkey doesn't leave blotches the way AG can if you do it wrong. But even so, the blotches fade within 24 hours of spraying the bag. I have pics on my about me page of my speedy before and after AG'ing it:
