Spend threshold for B/K/C

Thank you! That’s what the store told me too. But I just wonder if from my new SA’s perspective, does my previous spending count in her mind when she’s thinking about who to offer a QB to. Sorry if I’m going off topic!
I think the SM is the ultimate one who will decide/approve, not the SA. (The SA will take your wishlist to the SM.)

After his explanation, I was more than convinced spending drives offers. He did imply that pre-spending does reset after each handbag is obtained. Please keep in mind that every Sales Specialist is different. However, they’re running a business so pouring (spending) into Hermès is important. He mentioned it didn’t really make a difference if a client spent little by little or a large amount of money. I didn’t ask if there was a spending ratio. Personally, I would responsibly put money aside each month to purchase the items I love hoping to get an offer someday. I hope that helps!
Thank you!! Yea I suspect the spending ratio is a bit more art than science since it likely also depends on the categories you purchase (i.e. RTW better than shoes). I guess for me personally what I have been debating is whether or not I should hold off big ticket purchases that I do want but less time urgent if I am already reaching a spend level where it feels appropriate for the QB I want so it can count towards the next QB or if I go over for a specific QB it doesn't matter since the next one will probably require less spend. My SA is very vague on the whole pre-spend concept in general and I am relatively new, so I don't have a good sense on how it works. I have heard different anecdotes on this from friends / online (some insisting that it resets while others think cumulative matters and you would get a much lower spending ratio on the next one if you went over on the previous one etc), so I am assuming it does vary depending on the store / SA...

Understood! but I dont think the SM even knows who I am and it’s up to my new SA to bring my profile up to the SM when she feels I am eligible for a QB right? So if it’s up to my SA’s discretion whether I’m eligible then I’m just hoping she is taking my previous pre spend into account.

I think maybe it could be worthwhile for me to cheam in for a balanced view.

While spending do matter, the need for new customers/sales of each SA varies. Hence, in certain countries, it might be possible to negotiate the pre spend levels with the SA.

Sorry, I feel like I need to say this in case anybody felt like they will definitely get a bag by doing serious damage to their own wallet. Some stores where bags are allocated to SA by performance, etc, could tend to result in a “bidding” or pre spend “price” war.

My friend is assigned 3 to 4 handbags each month. Roughly one per week.

3-4 QB or also including non-qb?

Thank you for your insights. Its very consistent with what my SA told me as well.
This sounds a little depressing to me as that means each SA can only offer up to about 52 QBs to his/her clients each year and SA has hundreds of clients! Even if each client is only allocated 1 QB each year, SA can only pick 52 clients among hundreds to offer them QBs. The QB supply is definitely too low and no wonder we are seeing pretty high pre spend these days.

I’m not even sure if 3-4 are all qb. My sa told me they get max 1-2 qb a month. Allegedly

Is it possible it depends on the seniority of the sa?

Pre spend gets higher if all customers try to outdo one another to get offered the bag.

This is very true! But i think it’s also important to note that while an SA may have hundreds of clients, only some may stand out. The ones who are very pleasant and not high maintenance, spend regularly, buy in varies categories, show appreciation for more than just leather, etc. There are a lot of factors.

A lot of clients tend to get a bag and run it seems. I have mentioned before that I am not a big spender but i spend regularly in relatively small amounts and got my first Birkin recently.

Now it seems my SA may be concerned i will disappear on him now that I have a bag judging by comments he has made and questions asked, although i reassure him that there’s always items i love and will buy at H. Shopping with him is also always a pleasure!

I think to *some* SAs it’s not just about having big spenders who will drop $$$$$ in a short amount of time and then dip once they have the bags they want, but clients that are regulars and fun to work with that they can count on to bring in commission.

Of course there are always SAs who only care about the money and will milk clients for as much as they are willing to spend.

I think the price increases are factors to the pre-spend as well. My SA once told me last year that her month goal is roughly 450k USD.
And lately I visited her after the price increased, she said this month goal is 550k USD.
She also told me that if I fast enough to buy the desirable bags from H.com, I better buy it. Her bags allocation depends on the shipment and her performances. So if I want the specific specs non-QB from her it might takes very long until that bag arrives store and allocated to her.

Hi! I've been reviewing some of older posts here and learned that it is possible to have 2 different accounts by one person. I think I can create a second account using a different name (for example, middle name + last name), a different email account, a different phone number, and work address for mailing address, etc. How important is it to have different info on the credit card? In other words, does credit card info matter too? (Nowadays, we can request to change the name/address for credit cards...)

The intent is to go to a different store and a different SA because the pre-spend level in my current store is too high. For example, I got my first quota bag by more than 2+:1 pre-spend and the store is known for its competitiveness. In addition, my current SA warned me that my 2nd quota bag would take a bit longer... I can make the spending history completely irrelevant between 2 accounts (e.g., in the first store, buy women's RTW/shoes and Kelly only; and in the second store, buy men's RTW/shoes and Birkin only). I am hoping to lower my pre-spend in the second store, which may be less competitive.

Has anyone done this before? Thank you!
I know of a couple where the husband has an account in NYC and wife has an account in NJ. But not 2 accounts under one person.
